Pocket PC eMail bug Fixed For The At&t Tilt And HTC Kasier
This is is known to happen for the At&t Tilt Known As The HTC Kasier Only!!! The email bug in Windows Mobile 6.1 based Pocket PC devices reported last week has been fixed now. It's good to see that Microsoft listens to their customers and fix the issues unexpectedly faster, unlike HTC or any other companies who care a damn about their old customers. Folks, the email bug fix patch can be downloaded here. HTC, we don't want to offend you but we had to say that you care a damn about your customers because of the complaints scattered all over online communities such as the famous lack of proper video drivers in the expensive AT&T Tilt, a.k.a. HTC Kaiser and also poor availability of Windows Mobile upgrades to your older devices thereby forcing us to buy new devices from you (probably). General Info: A very annoying bug in pocket pc email handler is addressed by Microsoft which is confirmed in Windows Mobile 6.1 powered devices. While there is no complete fix for it, an annoying work-around is suggested by them temporarily. If you have a Windows Mobile 6.1 based pocket pc configured to use a POP3 or an IMAP e-mail account, frequently you'll experience the following symptoms: • You unexpectedly lose the ability to send e-mail messages. • E-mail messages remain in the Outbox folder after you synchronize the e-mail account. • You may receive the following error message when you try to send an e-mail message: The message cannot be sent Even though you lose the ability to send e-mail messages, you continue to receive incoming e-mail messages. This behavior occurs because the e-mail account details are corrupted when the Windows Mobile 6.1-based device does not connect to the SMTP server. A temporary sollution to get back your email working properly is to delete and re-create the email account. Maybe we need to keep doing this over and over again as this error re-occurs in the newly created account too. Also don;t forget that when you delete your account, you loose the messages saved and most importantly the un-sent messages in the outbox are deleted! Hopefully we get a fix soon, else the whole point of Windows Mobile is becoming useless when there are no proper mailing functionality.

added more info apparently certain people was having that issue and was reported to microsoft.and that was a general fix, if they didn't update there rom.
