I had this problem too but I had to flash back to sprint stock 6.1 rom....get my phone acctivated then flash back to kaos take 5....the ##464555# type numbers don't work on custom roms....exept ##778#

it depends what you are looking for there is just soooo many of them out there to tell the truth.......... just go off of what you like since everyone has different uses for their phones....

cool. I text like a lunatic and i'm tired of the lag that i get when using the stock sprint rom for text messages that's why i'm trying to shop around. this one was cool but the other problems are slowing me down. would you know any roms that specialize in that? The lack of text lag i mean.

Nevermind. i think sprint was having some issues in my area cause it's going great now. Just quite a bit of battery consumption when i use the data connection or wifi.

the backup battery is only a watch battery and it stores your settings on the phone so its not screwed if your battery was to die in the middle of something.

Please forgive me if posted in the wrong area. I am trying to upgrade to this rom but Activesync disconnects as soon as the rom starts installing. This happens evertime. I connect Activesync, launch ROMUpdateUtility, go through the couple of screens confirming that this is what I want to do then when i get the the percent done screen it disconnects and never goes past 0%. I have disabled my firewall, uninstalled and reinstalled activesync 4.5 and rebooted the phone and computer several times. Please help :)

heres the steps of the average ROM flash:
connect to Activesync
(After unlocking phone) run RUU
ActiveSync disconnects while flashing because OS on phone is inactive
phone reboots
connects to activesync

I only get this error when trying to flash the rom. I don't get this any other time when connected to activesync.

have you used this RUU before? if not, make sure it's the right RUU for the mogul and that you have all the appropriate files in there.
make sure your ActiveSync connection settings follow this:

show status icon in taskbar (Checked)
Allow USB connections (Checked)
Allow connections to one of the following: (UNchecked)
This computer is connected to (Automatic)
Open activesync when device connects (Checked)
Allow wireles connection on device when connected to the desktop (Checked)


these are my settings that i've always had and never had any issues when i flashed my mogul

Samething happened to me Sprint just send me a brand spanking new Mogul, took me a hour to finally get this ROM to flash... I misplaced my SD card so I had to order a new one, thankfully I remembered that post from buy.com & i just ordered that one

just a warning, if you get one bigger than 2 gigs you wont be able to flash from it.

ok... look go to dash's or toked's profile i went to dash's download hard_spl titan_unlocker and download the ruu file. witch both are in dash's sig. once u have those 2 downloaded hook ur phone into the pc in active sync open file explore copy all files on my device and put them on ur desk top and that will back up all ur files. download the rom and put it into the ruu file and wait. do not put the unlocker in the ruu file leave that out. run the unlocker once it unlockes ur phone u will be in a 3 color screen red green and blue. at the bottom of the screen says usb ur good.. once u have got to that part open the ruu file ND MAKE SURE KAOS'S ROM'S IN IT. run the romupdate.exe do what it tell u to do and it will start the flash. do not open any programe on pc after u have started the flash and do not try to make a phone call or do anything with ur phone justlet it do it thing... ONCE THE FLASH IS DONE AND THE TODAY SCREEN COMES UP TAKE THE BACK OFF AND TAKE THE BAT OUT FOR 1 MIN. after u have done that and the phone boots back up ur done and ur phone is flashed. make sure u thank kaos for the rom he has made because he has done a great job on it.. ok... also Wckediden is not in blam if u mess up ur phone.. so please read what u should do and follow it... ur boy DJ is out good luck and do not forget to hit the thanks...

but i do have a question, after the flash i noticed that the sms sent pop up window still comes up, and is the touchflo something i have to activate or intall, bcuz i dont see it on my system

that will be auto gone in the rom for the message sent.... did you take the battery out for 1 minute and hard reset after flash??? and for touchflo 2d you will need to install that since this is a clean rom.

This is my first post here, I just donated and will download and install this ROM. Well actually my 15 year old will install it. He inherited my Mogul once I moved on to the Touch Pro. He has caught the ROM flashing bug from me so we'll see how this ROM works out.

im thinking of going back to this one...will it work for alltel yet? also, i have a program to make alltels mms work again. would i be able to use that on this rom? or since its based on a sprint rom will it not work? or will anything work if i dont let the customiztions run? or is an alltel version coming out soon? maybe ill just wait. thanks

no customizations on this rom, use the fix and it will work, no he doesnt make these anymore since he moved onto the touch pro and i have the beta rom and running and i love it :>

just get your buddies info or a model from the store and go to start/settings/connections/connections and make a new one to match and use that as your default and than its just like the other

i dont follow verizon too much but i know multiple chefs are/were making for multiple carriers so i would take a look through the rom area at what you can find.

ok i think I officialy screwed up my mogul... I am stuck on the red green blue screen. tried running RUU and it starts to flash but gets stuck on 0% and says error[262] gos thru recovery and attempts again but same thing happens. tried flashing from rom gos to grey screan says loading but does nothing... tried to restart the phone and it just says loading ... took out card and it gos back to rainbow screen... am i screwed??

make sure your phone is unlocked, try flashing from microSD card

I was able to flash back to stock rom. now it will activesync I am going to give it another shot... and see if I can get this rom to work.. I dont know what the heck happened I think I may have done something wrong..

yes delete the other you only want the one that you are going to flash to, to be present..... and you did look at the step by step guide correct? becuase youhave to unlock the phone before flashing a custom rom. and you unlock it will say coke 2.40 than it will stay their... make sure that it says usb andf not serial on the bottom of the screen and that means your connected to activesync.... and please read through the thread, i know it is long but all of this has been covered before and is in the thread to help out and so we dont have to repeat ourselves over and over again making other things hard to find and also taking awat from time that we could be bringing tnew goodies to the site :>

I have flashed this rom over the fuk sprint rom. i really like this much better, but i noticed one thing that could probably be fixed if i do something simple... I have setup my e-mail and I have notice that it drains the batteries because it does not stop the 'data connection' automatically after it connects to the internet unlike the fuk sprint rom. I have to do stop the data connection manually with the comm manager. Is there anyway i can set the phone so that the data connection will stop automatically after it updates the inbox?
