Sleep Mode Issue

Is there away to keep it out of sleep mode but still allow the screen to shut off?

Cause usually when my phone goes into sleep mode, I miss all my calls and text messages and it doesn't alert me until I turn the screen back on..

So how can I fix/solve/prevent this problem, or set it to automatically wake when I do get a call or text message?

well if your phone goes to sleep when the screens turn off your having some troubles and would have to do a hard reset... back up all your contacts and other goodies using pimbackup and than hard reset your device and should clear everything up. you can at that point flash to a custom rom and you can find more details on that below in my signature.
