Work just fine for me, installed right over my old version. And did not erase my previous theme (that i was un-able to backup due to a previous versions glitch).

click nad hold and than choose author mode....... and if your chaging themes correctly you shouldnt be having any troubles... you have to give us more info on how you are trying to run the theme to give you advice.
