Welcome to my kitchen!

Here's what's on the menu today...

This is an HTC Herman CDMA ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of this thread.

I always build my ROMs with three main goals.

• Eye candy.
• Speed!!
• Smoothness, consistency and good esthetics.

I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set.

You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization).


I usually make 3 versions of this ROM. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet.

Here are the different versions and what they mean.

• "Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin (Titanium*) and the Tachi dialer

• "Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version. This also includes the regular HTC dialer

You will find TWO core versions of each of the above versions.

One based on an the latest official windows build (currently 21864) and the other, built on the latest beta.

Currently the fast, stable, most bug free "official build" is 21864. I recommend you start with that first! :)

This ROM is a generic CDMA build and "data" is already preconfigured. It has been reported to work fine on Sprint, VZW, Altel and I believe even Cricket devices.

i've been on this rom since friday morning. i like it alot. it has all the visual stuff i'd like to have. i've had almost no lags or freezes. seems fast and stable. battery is very good. i don't think it's quite as good as sss in the battery department, but besides that it's very nice. more people should jump on this rom and give it a try (and review). it's very good for everyday use. i only have one question. it seems to switch from EV to 1x everytime i send or recieve texts. just noticed today. maybe it happened b4 maybe not. it might be a "settings" thing but i'm not sure. any info on this would be helpful.

thats "normal" on this rom. for some reason it does that on texts and mms. almost on anything that connects to the internet. actually i believe is the task bar, try using a different task bar and see..

i think i came across a bug with this rom, if you disable tflo and try to scroll up or down the screen become distorted, i will reflash to see it ita a bad flash or not, has anyone else had this issue

i have been using this rom for a couple of days and its great!! no lag or frezze and the built in youtube player gives me almost hd quality vids. also my fuze is unlocked and used on att and when i flashed the new rom it went to tmobile site for me and programmed the settings for me. thanks for such a sweet rom. peace

I've been running it since last night and it is pretty good....however there are some strange bugs. Randomly when I get texts it says they are from the spring operator....when they aren't. Also I will get calls and it won't pick up that I have the numbers already in my contacts so it just shows the number calling and not the contact....everything else pretty good tho

Well I flashed this yesterday, and have also been running the previous version. Wanted some change from NFS, and this ROM is noooiiiccee!! I am really surprized that there is not a bigger buzz with this. It is smooth, fast, I get great batt life, and with all the apps and esthetics, it will definitely keep me busy for a while.
THE RUNDOWN!
Flashed yesterday...yadda yaadda yadda....took phone of the charger around 6:30 am, about 1.5 hrs talk time, around 150-200 texts, played NFS-UC, Spiderman-TC, and Boomblox (All addictive as hell!!!) Surfed for about 20-30min, have email set to sync at evrey hour, did the usual UC stuff and Booyahh= @ 34% at 5:50pm. I think i will keep to this rom not only for the amazing batt life, but this ish just looks PIMP!!

Top 2 ROMs IMO: NRG and NFS.

all the past versions of this rom on titanium i have had troubles with the email and the text tabs freezing up and not allowing me to view my messages.... cant have that and is with every version.

True I hear ya. I have been using TF3d2 and have not had a hiccup yet...*knock on wood*.. I will update as usual if I find any annoying or troublesome bugs. BTW did i mention that Spiderman, NFS, and Wolverine are addictive.....hahaha

you just need to install your carriers arcsoft mms cab and than soft reset and you wiill be good to go.

You sent a pic to yourself ? Well you get pic mail you have click on it will open up. If want to keep on your phone you have to save to a folder.

i installed this and cant get the picturemail to remove, i can send pictures with the sms/mms way but when i get a picture... it comes in has picturemail and doesnt show a little picture in the text message thread... any ideas

well if i can remember when running this room... i think there was an icon that i had to click to actually open the pic mail...

are u getting at least a text notification sayin u have new sms or something? if u are then i think when u open that u can click the lil pic mail icon somewhwere on the side and open it up from there... or u can click the menu soft ket and then click the picmail option...
If i rememer correctly... it was a lil strange on this rom i tought...lol

thats the thing, if someone sends me a picture, it doesnt show there name just their number and it doesnt show up in the text thread like before, i need to remove picturemail, but it wont let me.

uninstall any other arcsoft or picmail cab that you may have already installed... n run this attached cab.... soft reset, then reinstall arcsoft... n let me know if that works for you!

yeah... i think thats more of a rom issue and not an arcsoft thing... that why i left this room... as much as I loved it, battery didnt cut it for me... like said in 1st post, its bbuilt for speed, stability and sex appeal (or something like that) but it says nothing about being built for battery life... but its all preference.. overall its a pretty sweet rom!

this s was the main reason i got rid of this rom because of the battery life...its built for speed and to be pretty NRG doesnt take battery into account. I believe TF 2.1 came out yesterday so we should be seeing it in a few roms within the next few days.

not sure if its the 2.1 but the guy that said he got it, said its very buggy and thought this was going to be better than 2.0 so i dont know

hey just randomly my star menu and my lock just started acting crazzy on me like when i scroll up the images move but leave a trail like when you set you mouse on your computer to leave a trail behind when it moves but it never goes away on the phones and the more you move it the more trails that keep getting left does any one have any ideals to fix this?

huh, dont know about that one. i ran this rom for a while and it was nice, only complaint was battery life. how long you've been running it? did you take the batt out and hard reset after flash?

If you want battery life add the Speedbooster app version 2.0 is out so use it. It definitely helps with the battery hack, I have not changed the poll interval and get around 16 hrs with heavy usage, I am running the Telus 1.07 radio.

not quite sure, the way i see it its always better to have something built into a rom than to install a cab that could miss something critical when installing afterwards

mmmm i know but switching to it would feel like cheating on a wife (goku) with the new hot mama that i know nothing about and could be messed up, but from the looks and sounds is so attactive (NRGz) :P

its fast and snappy. but there's a little work to get the mms working. not that its a dealbreaker, i'm too tired to mess with it. the navigation in the rom by the chef is diffreent, but useful, if you think about it. if anyone gets mms to work properply let me know.

also during a softrest, teh manila numbers for teh clock went south and stretched to teh bottom of the screen, very odd. again i'm tired.

the ram usage was at 43% or average for any of teh other roms running manila.

im loving this rom, almost dont want to reflash the updated, i got the mms working really good all i did was installed two different arcsofts first the 5.0 and then the 5.2, but its was working with the 5.0, the 5.2 felt like it revcieded and sent faster

the best way i found to fix the the picture mail w/sms/mms is to install the picture&acrsoftremoval.cab then install the version of sprintacrsoft you like then ur set

the best way i found to fix the the picture mail w/sms/mms is to install the picture&acrsoftremoval.cab then install the version of sprintacrsoft you like then ur set

yeah thats the way i get pic mail working on all his roms :P i have those pic mail removal and arcsoft insall right on my sd card :)

really and that works what rom r u running? with all the freed up space i like installing to the device

nah im sayin i have the cab files on my sd card for easy install on my device :P
