I have a crazy idea

Alright I really liked my touch pro but I found that I like the form factor of my vogue better and was wondering if you gutted a touch pro and prolly trim it down as much as possiable if it would fit inside the casing of a vogue I figure the keyboard will just have to be removed but could maybe be reatatched (hinged on) or something like that weird lg versa phone does. Anyways let me know what you think I havent tore down either one of these phones before have on some older ones and was jsut wondering if once you get down to the meat of them if there similar in sizing. Any help would be apreciated.

Hi its crazy idea and its not possibel the form factor model of device tp is totaly different nothing wil fit and screen is bigger keyboard why you one to mess up a tp to fit in at touch model lol you end up whit 2 bricked phones l just my 2 cents

it is entirely possible; however it will take a lot of hardware modification. I mean technically the hardware is separate from the housing...Would be interesting to see it done though... if you feel like risking the fact that you might not be able to do it that's fine :D post pics! hahah

hu realy how do fit that screen ? keyboard and all the parts i have totaly riped my touch to place new cover and done it whit diamond screen change only builder like htc can complish something like this whit custom parts lol

see i was thinking about completly stripping it out of the housing so it was just each component and just looking at it most the thickness of the touch pro comes from the hinge and keyboard it would pretty much be like turning the tp into a td with an external keyboard contact and it didnt seem to me that the screen was much bigger I was thinking just a higher res. It sure would be one heck of a frankienstien.

the keyboard would be a seperate item like on the lg versa haha. with just a external contact that it attaches to when snaped in place or it could be a nifty flip lid that covers the screen.

well I got me a display dumby vogue that im going to gut out and maybe see how much room the tp stuff will take up I need to find a picture of just the parts seperated out, before I tear into the tp.

I just wanna get rid of my touch pro I dont use it and I need other gadgets im restless which is making me liable to do something stupid like making this frankenstien phone. though the more I think about it the more I think I could do it.

you know what never mind about this the risk isnt worth it I may come back to this idea later but if you want you can close this thread or recycle it I think its alittle to far out there.

it would be possible but it would take many modifications in the registry, the keyboard has registry inputs, the vga screen has the same for display on top of other things.... and for the fact of the form factor, if you add the keyboard to it you are going to have the extra thickness and such changing the form of the device so you would be stuck with the same thing, and for the keyboard being attached it wouldnt line up correctly either and you would prolly have many troubles with the keyboard staying shut if not working completely....
