Welcome to my kitchen!

Here's what's on the menu today...




Today I'm serving up an HTC Touch Pro 2 CDMA ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of the thread.

I build my ROMs with four main goals.

• Eye candy
• Speed !!!
• Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
• Stability through private beta testing before public release

I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the 'box'.

You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). I also provide an example script to use to save your email settings in one of the posts below.


You will find TWO core versions of my ROM.

• The 21869 Build is from the OEM COM2 Tree and is the most reliable and bug free release. I recommend you start with this first!

And...

• The 28002 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.3 series with the Start/Close buttons at the bottom. These builds are not as stable but they reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft.

i got this downloaded and ready to go already when the hardspl is dropped.... classic since more stable and the taskbar on the button isnt that big of a deal for stability.

me too bro, im getting my tp2 monday finally, so this will be my first flash on it. hopefully by monday the unlocker will be out! lol. i had this on my watch list at ppcgeeks, lol.

well bouys i have to say im impressed how smooth this thing runs! the only funny thing is that when you send/recive texts in lines them up differently then threaded...is still threaded in a way, but different. what it does is it first shows your sent texts in order from oldest to newest, and right after your last sent texts you will see your recived gtexts in order from oldest to newest. regardless when some texts you you will see the newest text first, but if you wanna see your last text you will have to scroll all the way up, other then that is great!!! internet sharing works without sim card also, which is great since asurion didnt send me sim cards.... weather and weather animation are smooth as can be, all together is a beautiful rom! thanks NGRZ!!! ium running the standard version, that is the one with start menu up top...

+ 1 , running this one as well and everything that phenom just said about the rom i wouldve said . This rom is amazing, well report back with battery results and all just installed couple hrs ago

no there isnt a cab file for it and the unlocker is released already bro...

been runnning this here stable version with taskbar on top and so far its GREAT! its quick, speedy, looks good, snappy, and everything else you would expect from nrgz and his past work. the only flaw i noticed is that the sms closing and opening from time to time can be flakey but something he should be able to work out in the future.... not bad enough to not be able to use just takes a second to load sometimes...... other than that this thing is loaded and tweaked very nicely and only made 2 additional registry changes from what he has now. very smooth rom and i like better than juicy at this moment which i also testing exstinsively. def recommend this rom to all the users of the tp2 and loving it... tested on sprint as well as verizon and works great on both as advertised.

Weird bc im running the sameone and its running perfect n landscape , of course u have to remember that this is from the leo which does not support landscape , only on music and photos .

Thanks for heads up bro the reason i love this rom is the animated weather so i dont thing ill be flashing to another till , some else creates something similar to this rom .

i odnt find the stable and quick to lag but the newest version with the taskbar on the bottom i did find a lag.... i found hard reset twice keeps lots of the lag away over just doing it once.

I been searching some but havent found a good answer, What is everyone using to backup there settings and any programs you have added when flashing roms? Contacts and calender is no problem but it gets old going through changing all the settings and adding the programs you want in each time.

just use uc or sashimi...... i just do it all manually cause i can get it done fast and make small changes as i go than too..... you cant make a direct backup of the apps and such like that because the registry from rom to rom can be different and if you convert back to that you will have problems sicne partially converting back to a different rom.... but def check out sashimi and uc both can be found here or at their home at XDA

Um the only backup that does that. is Sprite Backup but if backup your phone like that. You only can restore to that rom. If you do those setting on another rom will mess up your phone.

can someone else please verify this for me. when i soft reset the clock goes back an hour? i cant disable time sinc as this will result in no home weather.......

when yu are doing it are you changing the default my location and changing it? cause if so i had the same problem and had to actually go and make a new location/city and get er done that way and chose that as my primary and now it works great even after soft reset tests multiple times.

ok. I'm going to flash this tomorrow. But, does this rom have the sprint provisioning cab adn arcsoft built it? or are those cabs added after flash like the TP? is there a newer sprint provisioning cab and arcsoft cab? The photon rom did not have any of the aforementioned cabs so i went back to stock since i was once again headed out of town. :mad-tongue:

not sure if built in but i know in the mighty thread he has the carrier cabs attached so i woudl guess that you would need to install.

You have to remember....Bush put this new law that the Saving time is later...Oct 25th was the Official date but since this new bill ( Saving Energy ) its tomorrow night.

i use to have that issue with the pro, all i did was uncheck one note when i synced it. i save all my notes to my storage so i dont ever sync them.

are you xp or vista? are you 32 bit or 64 bit? have you tried to disable your antivirus software and your firewall? have you tried to run as administrator? have you tried adding it to your exempt list?

jsut right click and close out of it or alt ctrl del and go to task manager and end all the processes that are with avg.

have you tried a non 7 machine? that could be causing some troubles.....

im on vista ultimate x64 and worked fine for me on my vzw tp2

yea its down for me too..... no clue whats going on thee looks like server is completely down right now..... they will get up soon enough.... but yeah it may have to come from cmonex than cause i cant think of anything else.... and you tried adding it to the exemption list though?
