i have a sprint touch pro 2 , i installed the hard-spl after i did a backup with swcked-backup and when i go to execute the cutomruu.exe it says that it can not use the update utility. i have restarted the device numerous times and want to install energyrom but keeps saying cant connect to update utility...i downloaded other versions and none have the customruu.exe file
what do i need to do to install the rom

What error code is it giving you ?

It is one of 2 things either you don't have enough battery. Your battery need to be over 50 percent. Or need to check the nbh.file is in the ruu.

reunlock your device isnt unlocked its giving you an invalid vendor error i can promise you that.... you unlocked and than restored using the restore... thus you converted back through the registry changes to the old bootloader thus why not being able to flash.

unlock your phone, and then download this rom. inside the rar file you will find a "ROMupdateutility.exe" sync your phone, and run that file while your phone is connected to pc. follow instructions on pc, enjoy.

Thanks it works perfect now just the clock lags a bit but other than that it is ok

Make sure u do another hard reset after the flash bro otherwise ur going to have lots of lag .

mine has never had that clock issue.... i have been using it since release date and havent ever seen it happen.... thats very odd considering i get soooo many messages and such that im always checking the clock.... i wonder if it has something to do with your area and the recent time change that we had lately.

Has anyone noticed any problems with the keyboard? The symbol buttons are all messed up. I installed the mighty rom vzw cab to fix and the fn key had no effect at all lol.

are you a verizon customer? verizon should be the only phone with that problem since we verizon guys have a slightly different keyboard than you.... also did you soft reset after install because for me it worked great

Yeah, I'm with verizon. I didn't soft reset after the install. I'll try that and see what happens.

thats the problem registry changes like the cab is need a soft reset to take effect. let us know

Just tried again. the FN key is completely disabled.
