vivo ruled the Indian smartphone market in the third quarter of this year (July to September). It shipped 9.1 million units during that time, up from 7.2 million in Q3 of last year. vivo now has a 19% market share, whereas one year ago it was 17%. It's followed by Xiaomi, which shipped 7.8 million devices for a 17% market share. Its shipments were up by 200,000 units compared to last year, but its market share actually fell by 1%.
