Samsung’s new Galaxy Book 6 series blends high performance with AI smarts

Samsung today announced the launch of its new Galaxy Book 6 series as part of its CES 2026 showcase. The lineup includes the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and the Galaxy Book 6.



These notebooks blend high performance with AI capabilities, making them the most advanced Galaxy Book notebooks ever released.

The Galaxy Book 6 series is powered by Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 3 processors which deliver over 50% faster CPU performance compared to the previous generation. The latest processors are built on Intel 18A, the company's 1.8nm class node. The notebooks can be configured with 16/32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage. The Galaxy Book 6 Pro 16-inch model gets an expansion slot as well.








They're paired with an integrated NPU that delivers up to 50 TOPs of performance for enhanced AI tasks. The notebooks can be configured with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070/5060 GPUs as well. To keep all of this hardware cool, Samsung has equipped this lineup with a newly optimized vapor chamber and airflow system.



The vapor chamber has a larger surface area to distribute heat more evenly as well as larger fins to improve cooling efficiency. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra also gets a new dual path outlet fan and heatsink for even better thermal management.








Samsung also says that these notebooks offer the most battery life of any model in the series. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Pro provide up to 30 hours of video playback, while super-fast charging on the Ultra provides up to 60% of battery life in just 30 minutes.



An upgraded Dynamic AMOLED 2X display panel has been installed in the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra and Pro. It boasts peak brightness of up to 1000 nits with an adaptive 30Hz to 120Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra gets six speakers with Dolby Atmos, including four force-canceling woofers and two tweeters to an exceptional audio experience.














There are several Galaxy AI features available across the entire lineup. These include AI Select, Search, Note Assist, Storage Share, Live Translate, Multi Control, and more.



Samsung hasn't confirmed pricing details as yet. It has confirmed that these Windows 11-powered notebooks will be available later this month in Grey and Silver colors.
