How to change "My Phone Number"

When I ordered my phone I ordered it with whatever number Sprint gave me. I did this with the intention of porting my number once I received it, but I didn't want to have them do it before they sent the Touch to me so I wouldn't be stuck without a phone. The number has been ported and works fine, but when I create a new SMS it shows my number as (419) 787-xxxx my old number, and also when I go to the dial pad > Menu > My Phone Number it also says the old number.

Its not a big deal since on Caller ID it shows my actual number, but it bugs me nonetheless. Any way I can change this??

try doing a hard reset (hold the talk and end butons at the same time while pushing the soft reset buton) and if that dosent work id call sprint and complain you might also get a few buck off your sprint bill if your a good complainer but i aint makin no promisises

you dont have to do a hard reset for this one just call sprint ***** about it and they will knock like 5 bux a month off your text plan for the rest of the time you are with them if you argue nicely lol... its a problem all they got to do is reset a few things in their computer and than within 24 hours the problem will be fixed. tell us how it goes for you and what they gave you off your bill if any lol.

yeah, all it is, is that when sprint had your number ported they had to refresh your vision profile remotely, which often doesnt work. I'm not sure if there is a way to update this manually on the Touch I know there is a way on most phones, but havent run into that yet. Ill look into it a bit more.
