Mogul Roam Issue

Hi guys, Make my Christmas. ^_^
I am sure some of you are aware of the mogul issue with roam.If not Google it.From what I am reading around alltel came up with a fix for it.From what i hear you can make this work on sprint.Anyone know where i can get this.also how to do it? I have searched here but haven't found. If your not aware the issue is.If your frequent roaming alot.that when the phone switches you phone freezes.or if not freezes shows bars on a scale under signal.Only way to fix is a reset.If you wanna see for your self go into your setting force phone to roam.then back out try opening some menu's.It freezes.Hopefully some one has this baby.^_^

ok i think i got the rom installed for the unlocker it showed the right screen and all.was stuck in bootloader.did the work around with some things got it out it rebooted phone started.Now all my data is still there after i installed the unlocker.Not sure if it should be but heres my question.now the last part of my instructions says run radio.exe file you gave has no radio .exe what do i do now?


Follow the instructions and unlock your phone.

1 unlock phone
4) download " 1 40 radio.rar "


5) run the 1.40 radio exe, and after its done installing youll need to restore your backup.


6) enjoy being able to roam without having your phone lock up ..... thanks alltel.

ok i found it its installing as we speak.god i hope this works.Im my area sprint sucks.so i always end up roaming.but into town i get good sprint.damn thing kept freezing.ill have results in about 15 minutes..

increased my sprint signal by 2 to 3 bars.my roam is now full bars.also it no longer freezes when switching.i forced it back and forth as fast as i can too.So its fixed now.This should be a sticky.lol. Sprint needs to update to radio 1.40 in the next rom.thanks da/\sh and thanks alltel for making it.^_^

now i need to get my wifi working with 1.4 radio.lol
any ideas i actually need to set up dns and all that...
my internet as well.
I can't connect to anything now if usb unplugged
like it ask for name account number password domain? where do i get this from sprint?

naw sprint wont give it to you im not sure on that one really i havwent heard of this happening to anyone else before you reinstall all the stuff do a hard reset dont worry the radio will still stick and than redo all the installs and you shouldbe good and working.

did a hard reset. still when on sprint it works fine.when i roam and try to connect to 1X network.i think verizons.i get.cannot connect with current connection settings.to change tap settings.

huh odd..... have you tried to reflash the radio onto the handset and see what that does. even though they say successful they can have lil errors in the flash and a new fresh flash can fix those problems..... thats all i have for you at this time until i look into it a lil more and see what would be causing it to happen. also do you have the mogul with the pocket pc stamped on the bottom part of the screen on the brushed aluminum or the one that is blank since that resembles different make dates of the phone. the originals had it and the new ones didnt.

na mine is newer..no pocket pc stamped on the bottom.Think the build date i found in old rom was like 8/6/07....had the .09 rom on it.i upped to the .17 new one from htc's site.I got all my data backed up on my sd card.so not a issue ill try reflashing the radio see if it helps.If not i can always go back to sprints rom. :(

yeah for sure i hear you there bro.... the sprint roms suck like no other. there is an updated rom out since that one if im not mistaking though that fixes alot of the problems with the phone. i would check that out. spritn has to get there shot together soon because this is getting ridiculous... but bout to get ready for bed so i will talk to you all later.... peace and tell me how that goes for you bro

Heres the strange thing i noticed.If i reset the phone and its in set to roam in the settings.then when i try to connect after restart i cant.i have to switch it back to sprints network connect to the net. establish connection.then switch it back to roam after then it works.But i got to do this after every reset if in roam.strange.like its not remembering.

havent heard of that one either.... hopefully tomorrow if i run into no problems with the exchange i will have the mogul to help guide you through this. damn im regrettign giving my old one ot my sister.

ya i even hard rest.Then flashed new radio rom.Then instead of installing my backup.I redid it all manually.If you go into phone settings force it to roam.Do a reset.now as soon as it starts i get a can not connect to #777.When i try to open i.e.Then i go back into my phone settings change it to automatic.It switches to sprint signal.Then i try browser again it connects to #777.then i switch phone back into roam in settings.Browser will work then.Its just a software issue.Like it has to register in #777 to be identified first before connecting on another networks service.at least how it seams.nice to be able not to have to do it this way.but also is nice to not have it freeze in roam anymore i don't mind.So in essence if in automatic .I would never have a problem.Just by me sprint is 2 to 3 bars at my crib.Roam i get full signal.With sprint roam is free.so i might as well have better signal.^_^
