D/\SH'S NueRom WM 6.1 Review (Rev A) NOW INCLUDES 5058 (3-25-08_

Alright hears the review of the build 5055 WM 6.1 rom made by No2Chem.

PROS
1. The internet speeds are amazing and are clocked at 350kbps faster than the the official Rev A rom dropped by sprint which i ran since drop date.
2. The features that No2chem added are awesome including an easy fill in the blank way to send pic mail to sprint users, changing the led color flash to like blue instead of normal green, and even different fonts and sizes.
3. The speed on the navigation throughout the device is wayyyy faster than the stock rom even before being overclocked. i have mine overclocked to 624 and it just flies!!!!! too bad i cant see my custom wait cursor any more lol.
4. The rom is very stable and i couldn't crash it like i started to notice i could do with the official release rom by sprint.
5. I have never had this rom freeze on me and the memory on it stays around 15mb after a days use and starts out at 19 after a soft reset with all my apps installed.
6. I love this rom and will never go back to the stock one so im glad that someone spammed my phones email with almost 200 messages within 20 seconds and made it crash.

CONS
1. The only con to this rom is that when i synced to activesync for my contacts it didnt give me tigers sister number (DAMN NO JESSIE :sad:)

god work is boring but thank god for my laptop lol

2)hows the satellite response? b/c with build 5048 it was slow to pick any sats up, but it only takes me about 3 seconds now with sprints update, or maybe it will be the same being that 5055 uses sprints radio.....DId I just answer my own question lmaooo
3) hows the battery life b/c 5048 was really bad?

Yeah Dash told me you were running the custom 6.1, and I think i will do that too.lol. Also the funny thing i was going to change the led from green to blue anyways but thanks to no2chem, its already done:yahoo:

1. yes only con that i have to the rom i love this and havent found any flaws that arent easily fixable within seconds.
2. satellite response is awesome the first time to connect took me round 10 seconds and than after that around 2-3 seconds.
3. the battery life is bad ass. i was talking to tigers sister jessie in new york while i was in michigan and talked to her for 2 hours on top of flashing 30 text messgaes a whole crap load of email messages, (like said above which made me have to hard reset or flash.) and installation of all my apps all over again and getting them set up. after all that and some tinkering to see what it was capable of it was only down to 51% and was running at school with me for about 4 hours before all that. so the battery life is more than i could ask for.

its pretty sweet after reboot i get 22mb...with all my programs installed i sit around 14-16 mb at all times.thats with ultimate launch..with that off i get almost 18mb..he modeled this one after sprints new rom...just its wm6.1.. with goodies from no2chem

if you look at thre response i made makes it easier since most dont know that they need to use starts for words under 4 letters....... so i always tell them to look for nuerom and tell them that they want build 5055 or whatever the newest stable one is.

OK I did it, I flashes to the custom rom lol, I went into the text settings to make the words bigger, but unfortanetly I cant get the menu letter bigger (setting,start menu letter), they r small except the letters on the today and programs are all good...any ideas???

mine are the same size all around. in nuefonts did you change all the sizes to the same??? and also i use quick menu and all changed foe me... also did you follow the end of the post asd after flash take the battery out for a minute and than boot back up and hard reset to clear some problems?

Yea all the fonts r da same....and do u kno wat problems i might encounter if I dont hard reset lol I didnt hard reset but I did take the battery out for a minute and installed all the programs lol......:40:

i did it to for about 20 or so roms..... i can geet everything back on and installed plus tweaked the way i want in 1 hour or less including the flash.... i just got really good at it and all from me doing it and doing all the customers mod service on iphones.

1 hour not bad, I did mine in about 30 minutes, I have about 13 cab apps tp install and 4 exe....not bad huh, I havent fully tested the rom yet, but i will 2morrow I also have to keep an eye out for the battery to see how mine runs, for some reason my battery runs quick with the custom roms....but good lookin on the headsup for hard resettin.

no problem you will love the battery... and i do over 30 cabs and some exes and registry tweaks on top of some other little goodies with folder that i do.

Dash, I followed your tutorial and everything appears to have gone fine, the only problem is when the phone restarted it gets to the white alltel screen and won't go any further. I tried a hard reset and pulled the battery and it still won't go past the alltel screen. Am I missing something or did I f it up some where?

I've been searching and reading about the WM 6.1 (Rev A) rom. I think I've got it down on how to load it and everything. The only question I do have is can I load this rom on a HTC 6800 Alltel phone. Seems like I only hear people talking about doing it on the Sprint Mogul (I know, same phone). I didn't know if it mattered or not being a different service provider with apps and etc. I have only read one post about a guy that did it on the alltel phone and it froze his on the Alltel white screen. Never could find out how he fixed it. Sorry guys, I just don't want to screw up my phone lol. I figured if I was going to post, might as well do it in the noob section for now ;]

my newest video shows this on an alltel. all you do is unlock the phone flash the 3.35 spritn rom and than stop before sprint customizations start byt soft resetting and than you flash over to the 6.1 rom of your choice...... please search in the future this has been discusseed before. Thanks
