Motorola Q9c Good Phone!?

ok guys basically my question is plain and simple is the q9c a good phone to mod out here on the site. i know of course its an smartphone that runs windows. but i was wondering if its good and not locked and i can take advantage of all the smartphone programs on our site.

reason i ask is because i read somewhere that the samsung ace, sprint version of the blackjack is locked and cant be modded. so im wondering if the same is for the q9c.


i have 2 people that i know want to join sprint. one is probably going to become another victim of the mogul fever lol. and the other isnt sure what they want. they want something that can do alot but doesnt cost alot. they thought about the centro but i told them no that windows is better and the q9c is like the same price they were sold on that when i told them about that plus they found out the centro doesnt have gps so they rather have the q9c.



i just wanna make sure they can take advantage of all of out smartphone programs on the site before they go into getting it. like they dont want to pay the extra fee for gps so i was going have them install that gps version thats on here. the name slipped my mind right now. but its free and a 3rd party app that does gps. was hoping it worked. i believe there is an ppc version and smartphone version.


im pretty sure my answer is yes. . .but i just need some people to confirm it.


any input would be greatly appreciated it. even better if you own the phone your self and can tell us what you like and what you have done to yours.

i dont think there is many q9c owners here since most the site here is touch and mogul owners.

but im sure there might be a few here that own it and a few that can help me confirm this info.

i owned the q9c and didnt really like it alot of the apps wont work here because it is not a touch screen and that is what we specialize in. so i would recommend going touch screen and all.... the q9c isnt too bad overall just a lil slow and bulky.

well what do you suggest out of the cheap pda phones/smart phones?

it was really between the centro and the q9c. they dont really wanna pay more than 150 for the phone after rebates. . .so any suggestions?

you can get the mogul for 200 bucks bro spring the difference well worth it.

i know but im just saying they didnt want a phone that much and powerful but ill try to talk them into it but idk. besides on the website its listed for 300 so!? idk.

all i can say that is if that If your friend doesnt want to pay slot and doesnt want that much power then this site and its applications is not for them

true. but the main thing they want i believe is the gps and the texting and internet. everything they want comes with the sero plan except the extra $10 for gps. but i believe the a program here that gives u it for free. i know thats so for the mogul but idk about smartphones!?
