Ok guys, for those of you who could not get my last one to work, this one is full proof! It is a combo of a couple of hacks.
r First you need to swap back to an old phone, then go to your calltones page, and bookmark it. Then use bitpim to pull that bookmark out of your old phone, and put it into your touch/mogul. I tried this with a razr 2. If you can't get the bookmark off of the old phone, then act like you are trying to bookmark it, and copy down the url VERBATIUM into either your phone's browser, or your computer's browser (easier to type into comp) then go to that url making sure it will work (it will also work on a pc) then bookmark it, and ship it to the ppc. This sounds a lot more difficult than it really is, but once you have that url bookmarked, then its cake! I tested this on a mogul! Good luck guys, and give me some success stories on this! Perhaps you guys have some better ways of copying that url? Please reply with it! remember hit dat rep! |

that is correct
when you access the calltones site on your normal phone, it will automatically redirect you to the specific url that deals with your account/phone |

What ends up happening is when iswict h to my old temp phone and access the web and then switch back.. for that short time period, my plan gets screwed up and at the end of the month i am fighting with sprint...LOL...but i am sure it would worK!

wait,wait,wait,wait....why are you guys making this so difficult...haven't you guys heard of the calltones hack cab and the short instructions on how to access the calltones web page right through PIE on your Sprint smartphone/PPC. If this does not sound familiar to you then let me know and I will create a thread for it...I would think that everyone knows of this by now...

it does work...at least on my mogul it does...I have searched the threads and found some similar instructions which are flawed they add what is not necessary...so I will create a thread to explain how to get calltones.

I posted something extremely similar to that, it is stickied under the touch help thread. Some people could not get it working... I have personally only got it working on my touch, and then transfered the url to my mogul.
