[SOLVED] trying to download ultimate launcher to mogul

Ok i feel like a total dumbass because i cant figure this out. I have the cab file on my computer which is runnin on vista. But for some reason i cant get the program to my phone to install. I went into windows mobile device center and opened add/remove programs and tried to drag the cab file to it and it wont allow me to do so. Any help will be appreciated.

open up my computer..double click your phone under mobile devices.. then drag to the device somewhere.. install from phone... read the ultimate launcher thread!

i just tried to do this a million times and when i drag it to that area there is a red circle with a slash though it and it wont allow me to drop it

Ok try thisl... make a folder on the card on the deevice.... make sure you doble click to see programs, windows, documents, etc. I recommend makeing the folder on the storage card. open the card... right click then NEW.. folder. then name the folder. drag the file there and you should be good!

thanks but i tried this and it still isnt working, is there other people having problems with using vista. this is really frustrating. in the morning i am goin to try to do it at work where the operating system is windows xp and see if that makes a difference. the only thing that i did was changed the usb to pc connection in the phone to where it isnt checked. Does anything else need to be changed like that. Thanks for your help guys.

why did u uncheck that? the phone is supposed to be connected to the pc bro. just establish a connection with activesynce, and drag the cab file to your desktop and thenfrom your desktop to your storage card, and then disconnect your phone from your pc and double click the cab and install to device. I have vista to and I never encountered a problem with anything from flashing roms, to installing exe or cabs.

yes mobile device center works fine on vista and syncs faster i feel then xp

yup np bro, for some reason with vista, we cant just drag a cab out of a zip to another folder, we have to drag it to desktop first. But im glad I could help bro
