my new toy (wacom)

well i was at bestbuy buying me a new external hard drive because i filled my old one... but i came across whats called a wacom bamboo penpad. it was 69.99. i googled it on my phone and thought what the hell lets try this sucker out. so now i am the proud new owner of one. and i must say it the one of the greatest things i have ever seen for graphic design. on the comp. i am literally in love with this thing. some notable features i have found that make it good are:
*install is very easy (except the autorun on mine wasn't properly done so i have to manully start the setup.exe)
*after software is installed its plug n play.
*in photoshop the pen is pressure sensitive and does stroke width based on how hard you *press down (AWESOME feature you can't do with the mouse.)
*is like writing on paper so more fluid like curves then the mouse.
*quick keys for making quick adjustments like pressing button on the pen that will do quick key for adjusting brush parameters,
*is small and light weight for on the go.

yeha i was messing with it and it got me to thinking. hmmm maybe ppc turned into one ^_0 but drawback would be the pressure sentivity of this one which is the coolest thing ever.

yeah i thought about buying a big one but the ones with screens built in run about 999 dollars. and im like eh tempting but not yet :P

yeah, well i had one for like $300 but the mouse was f*ckd up so when i returned it they didnt have any left so when i got to work my boss askd where it was, when i told her she said give it time... 1 week later it was on my desk the day after my bday...(didnt show up on my bday)

its an AWESOME price for what this lil bich does. i been playing with it since i bought it none stop. im tryn to master it in photoshop before i actually start my photoshop lessons fer school :P

Wacom does make some good ones, oh and I hope you share some of your learned tidbits for Photoshop. ;))

ive always known how to use photoshop but since i do webdesign ive done my trades on adobe fireworks. which is basically photoshop for webdesign... n i figured it was time to hit up the photoshop so im taking a class in college on it. and this here wacom gadget is gunna make it pimp ^_^ nad yeah ill share. if i can find em i can post some of meh old works from my younger days :P
