outlook/sync problem

Hi all I did a search but can not seem to find what I need. I was on with sprint for over an hour last night and been all over the microsoft site. I can not get my mogul to sync with my pc. The first problem I fixed was adding outlook 2007. Once I got the phone to connect it would give me an error that my profile was wrong0x8503001f. I messed with that and now I get two errors, the same 8503001F and now a notes action required? This is driving me nuts at this point. Any help would be great. I am trying to back up all my info so I can update to 6.1 then add the rom I saw on you tube for the mogul. I am sorry if this has been said already and I missed it.

you do have activesync if you are an xp person or mobile device center 6.1 if you run vista correct?

I am running xp and have active 4.5. I get the phone to connect and start but then the errors come up.

have you tried a uninstall and reinstall? or checked your firewall to see if thats blocking it?

delete the folder it should look somethiing like wm_profile name= profile name will be to whatever you named it.in your document folder or desktop, then uninstall active sync and then reboot and install again. make sure that all firewall program is disabled because you will have issues with connection i forgot the port number,once you are finish then connect your ppc and follow the command and rename your profile.

Where do I delete the folder? As far as firewalls go I just go into control panel and turn of the windows fire wall. I will unistall the active sync and try again. Anything else I need to do? I need to do all this to back up my contacts,pics,calender,text etc correct, there is no other way.

pim backup for your text messages and for the other that activesync would back up like your contacts, calender, tasks, and email you can use mail2web.

No I am getting error 85010014? Seems like the desk top file has some pics, and files but not everything and no contacts, texts etc.

Ok let mne try this again. Thanks guys I got it to take and now have the 6.1. I have been trying to unlock the phone to get the rom that fist got me to this site but when I click the link for the unlocker it says I am not allowed? Is there a fee for these services? I am looking to get the "HTC Mogul With HTC Touch Diamond Interface And Much More" set up as seen in the you tube vid by Dash. I think it is the same as the video with the "BJ's DIAMOND Theme/Skin PPC6800" Thanks again guys.

That's the thread giving some info on the PIM Backup. On that page you'll also find the link to download file needed to install pim backup.

This was found by clicking on the GREEN Search link on the top of every screen in all threads. Then typing in the name of the program. I personally select the radio "show post", and then press go.

Tip, if you get a lot of pages, chances are the program has been around for awhile so go to the very last page and work your way forward. Yes, it can take time going from thread to thread.

Moral is, always search because more times than not, it's been covered.:shameonyou:

You have to sign up for the members software and give the administration some time to accept your request then you will be golden to download stuff
