start icon

Hey all you out there in television land,
Im trying to change the start menu icon on my Diamond (Juicy3 Rom) and I don't really wanna have to cook a new Rom for this. I have resource hacker, and I tried editing shellres.96.dll icons 288 and 289 to myu new icon, but it doesn't seem to want to work.
anyone else out there had any luck with this? My icon is 21x21 and works great on the touch and the mogul...

I thought they should work for all devices but i dont have a diamond so ill let someone with one respond

Sometime when you edit the dll you will have to resign it. Also its a good idea to try and keep the same size icon.

I did re-sign it, but nothing but sadness. Im trying to make a full-on Dethklok theme and it wouldn't be right unless I had a pentagram for the start logo.
I will look at some of the other dll's and see whats in there.

Nah bro its online in the shellres96 you will find other images in other around that look like there the start logo but there not, Ill see what i can do bout whipping something up to make it easier for people to do.
