To set up Google Sync on your Windows Mobile device, please follow the steps below.

Important Note: Make sure that you have backed up any Contacts and Calendars from your phone to your computer before proceeding. Getting Started

1. Open the Active Sync application on your device's home screen.
2. Click the link Set up your device to sync with it.
3. Enter m.google.com as the server address.
4. Ensure that the SSL option is checked.


Sign In to Google Account

5. Click Next.
6. Enter your full Google Account email address as the User name.
7. Enter your Google Account password as the Password.
8. Leave the Domain field empty. If your device requires you to enter a domain name, enter google.
9. Click Next.
10. Check only Contacts and Calendar.
11. Click Finish.




12. Press the Sync softkey on the left to synchronize.

You've now set up Google Sync for your Windows Mobile device.

Tip: If your business, school, or organization uses Google Apps, your administrator will first need to enable ActiveSync before you can take advantage of this feature.

didnt this work with out google sync? I have been doing this for some time now with my 6800 and it worked great. But now I just got my touch pro and it does not update my contacts and I can not get anything to download from the link you have provided is any one else having this problem? Thanks

how can google sync work w/o google sync... sorry just a lil confused as to what your trying to do... google sync... or just basic active sync... if ur just using active syn u dont need to follow the above step... the above step are just to set up google sync through active sync, which will then allow to backup and restore, over the air to the google serves and your google account... im not sure though as I dont really use it... tested it breifly when it was first released but never really followed up w/ it

on my 6800 i hae been using active sync to backup my contacts and sync my calander for over 6 months now. Just got my touch pro and it did not work then I found this, tried to download but I get nothing to download when i go to the link

MS offers the same thing and its free to.Its better then pim backup.You can save everything including your ppc document folder.So when you're flashing your roms you can re-sync it back to the phone

the problem I am having is I already have close to 300 contacts with google all set up just wanted to transfer to my pro. Might anyone be able to get me a cab? sprint touch pro?

a simple search for active sync and youll be able to find the cab, i know its somewhere here on the site... regarding google contacts... go to the google website and the information is there on how to sync those contacts.... the link in the first post would be a good place to start regarding those syncing instructions

i can not find the google sync cab anywhere I have been looking for some time now. And have searched google high and low I have no idea why this is not working on my pro
