Android on Touch Pro

Big Jew Posted a question earlier on where to get Android for TPro, but closed the thread after the question was answered. I am not sure why that thread was closed, but I decided to post the info available on this project. It is being worked on and will continue to improve. AND of course, I did not create this, but just passing the info along.

This is a work in progress and a lot of stuff DOES NOT work; no calls, texting, GPS, data, you get the idea. However, the interface works fine and definitely gives you a good feel for the program. Overall, right now this just serves to raise the eyebrows of G1 owners. :rastaman:
Instructions
1 - Download the .zip file and extract the contents to your desktop. You should have a folder called tmp there now.
2 - Connect your phone to the computer with a mini-USB cable.
3 - copy the tmp folder to your memory card root. The tmp should then be located in [memory card]/tmp
4 - Disconnect the usb-cable and soft-reset your Touch Pro.
5 - Open up the file explorer, find the tmp directory and launch haret.exe and click run.
6 - Wait for the console text to come and wait for it to stop, showing an input prompt. Here you type /init.android and click enter (on the virtual keyboard)
7 - Wait for android to boot up, and enjoy!
Thanks to jobo and all the others at XDA for working so hard with the port!

Also, just exit the Android platform by soft reseting your device. When in Android, you can end an app by pressing the BACK button on your device.

I saw your Vogue post, but not for the Pro. I must admit I ASSUMED there was no post on this since Big Jew posted the question about it earlier. My bad, and please do your administrator duties and RECYCLE. :washing:
