Hard Drive Issue

I have this 120gb hard drive that does not allow me to extract big files using winrar! I always get such and such file is corrupt/crc error? Is there anything I can do to fix this or is this HD working on it last leg? I have the latest version of winrar and I have tried dling from different sources with the same results!

probably there's an error in the rar file.and its not letting you to extract.

your hard drive going isnt just going to effect when extracting.... tits going to effect all files and everything stored on there..... its either the browser you are downloading with, the download tool you are using, or the way you extract that is going wrong..... i download all files and than just double click on the first and extract from there.

Yea bro i know what ur going though i get that alot ,i just do what these guys tell me to do and if that dont work then i just forget about that app/rar bc ur not going to get it .You can try it all you want and ur not going to get it .And i doubt this has anything to do with the hard drive.

I know its my hard drive cause on my other pc I dont have this problem w/ a newer HD!!

hi have you try cleaning up hd whit app looking for badsectors and defrag your hd

hahahahhahhaha because it is newer and the other one isnt that makes it the problem? have you checked your motherboard, grapthics card, processor, etc? i would say those before the hard drive since it doesnt happen any otehr time besdies one...... doesnt sound like a hard drive to me... but hell what do i know

the harddrive has nothing to do with your issue...Do you know what a harddrive do when it's messed up..ask dashy it happen to me several time for the server....and its not nice...but in all reality go to you device manager check under disk drive your harddrive info well be there. right click to properties and make sure in that the check is under "optizmise for performance "and enable write caching for the disk is also check if not do so and reboot..it may take about 2 to 3 min while the process take place.
