How do I program my HTC Touch Pro?
And the attached picture are numbered accordingly to the tutorial !! Automatically programming your phone To automatically program your phone, perform the following steps: 1. If the phone is off, press and hold the Power button to turn the phone on. The Power button is located on the top of the phone. NOTE: If this is the first time you are powering up the device, digitize the screen by following the onscreen instructions. 2. On the stylus and password screens, tap Skip, and then tap the screen when prompted to complete setup. 3. Wait for the device customization to complete. The phone will automatically turn off and back on again. 4. When the Start/Today screen appears, the phone will automatically contact the network and try to provision the handset. see first image and continue from there :) 5. When the device provision completes, the Home screen appears and the phone will automatically turn off and back on again. The phone is now ready for voice and data use. To confirm the activation, make a phone call. NOTE: If you received Error 1012, continue with Step 7. 6. If you received the error message Your activation could not be completed, tap OK to exit the screen. 7. Tap the Start button to display the menu options. 8. Tap Settings. 9. Tap the System tab. 10. Tap Update Profile. NOTE: If you see the message data -cannot connect, tap Dismiss. 11. You will see the message, "The network is preparing your service…Please wait." Wait for the process to complete. NOTE: If the screen goes into sleep mode, you may tap the screen to wake up the device. Do not hold down the End key, as it will interrupt the process. 12. Once completed, the device will return to the Settings tab. Tap the X button to return to the Today Screen. 13. The phone is now ready for voice and data use. To confirm the activation, make a phone call. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manually programming your phone To manually program your phone, perform the following steps: 1. Find the Mobile Equipment Identification Number (MEID) on your phone. You can locate it in three places: * Turn off the phone and remove the battery. The MEID can be found in the phone underneath the battery. * The barcode sticker on the end of the original box: Labeled DEC or HEX. * From the Dial Pad screen, press Menu, then select Device Information. 2. Write down the MEID number, and then press OK to return to the Dial Pad. 3. If the phone is off, press and hold the Power button to turn the phone on. The Power button is located on the top of the phone. NOTE: If you are not at the Dial Pad, press the Phone button one time to display it. 4. If you have a new phone that has never been activated: * On the Dial Pad, press ##, enter the one time 6-digit code from the Programming Information section on the Activate your new phone page, and then press # again. The last # will not show on the screen, for example ##123456# If you have a used phone that has previously been activated: * On the Dial Pad, press ##, enter the secondary 6-digit code from the Programming Information section on the Activate your new phone page, and then press # again. The last # will not show on the screen, for example ##123456# 5. Tap the Edit button. 6. Tap MDN field text box, tap Menu, and then tap Edit. 7. In the Phone Number (MDN) text box, using the keyboard, enter your 10-digit phone (MDN) number located in the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page. NOTE: To enter numbers, press ABC once to switch to the number pad. 8. Tap OK. 9. Tap the MSID field text box, tap Menu, and then tap Edit. 0. In the Phone Number (MSID) text box, using the keyboard, enter your 10-digit phone MSID number from the Programming Instructions section on the Activate your new phone page. 11. Tap OK. 13. Tap Yes to update the items. 14. Tap OK in the EPST dialog box. The device will automatically turn off and then back on again. 15. Make a phone call to confirm the activation. NOTE: It can take up to four hours to complete the activation process and for your phone to begin working. If the provisioning process does not complete within five hours, contact Customer Care. NOTE: Once activation is complete, locate the latest software from Sprint for your phone. Check the Software Downloads page for free software updates.
