[NEWS] Samsung Art Store gets artworks not displayed publicly in nearly half a cen

The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston, USA, houses the largest collection of Winslow Homer’s watercolour artworks. However, the museum hasn’t displayed them to the public in nearly half a century, as they are fragile and sensitive to light.



Well, the museum is finally showcasing these pieces of art to the public in the Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor exhibition, starting from 2 November 2025, and interestingly, they are coming to the Samsung Art Store on the same day.



Samsung has collaborated with the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) to bring Winslow Homer’s iconic artworks to the Samsung Art Store for The Frame and The Frame Pro TVs on the same day the museum has started displaying them to the public in nearly fifty years.







Commenting on this achievement, Samsung’s Director of Business Development, Kyle Menges, said: “We are pleased to bring select works from the MFA’s Of Light and Air: Winslow Homer in Watercolor exhibition to a global audience, as the Art Store’s first-ever live exhibition. While nothing can replace experiencing art in person, we look forward to bringing a glimpse of this monumental curation into living rooms worldwide.”



On the other hand, the Museum of Fine Art’s Director of Intellectual Property and Business Development, Debra LaKind, said: “This partnership with Samsung allows us to reach audiences far beyond our walls and share Homer’s extraordinary artistry with art lovers everywhere. We’re excited to explore how museums and technology can work together to broaden access to great art.”
