How To Burn An Xbox Disc

Like I said earlier, the xbox is very picky about what it will execute. Even when the BIOS has been replaced, the hardware is still quite picky. CD-Rs are very rarely an option for the xbox. CD-RWs usually work if burned at a low speed. DVD-RWs reportedly work too. You do not have to go out and buy a DVD burner, contrary to popular belief.

In order to burn an xbox bootable disc, you must first create a so-called image. An image is basically just an archive that can be written directly to a medium, a CD/DVD-RW in this case. Images are often referred to as ISOs because of the file extension. The file extension is that because of the group that came up with the standard (the International Organization for Standardization, no I did not put that name in the wrong order). The xbox, however, has its own version of the ISO image, which is usually referred to as an xISO. Get a tool to create an xISO (from www.xbox100.com) and use NERO or some other burning software to burn it to a CD/DVD-RW. It’s that simple. If it doesn’t work, don’t fret; just get some help (see the resources section).

The disc must have a default.xbe file at it’s root in order to be booted. An XBE file is xbox’s version of an EXE file, or an executable binary file.

Do i have to have a modded XBOX in order to play burned games or can I play them on a regular XBOX

i THINk you need to atleast have your xbox softmodded.

If i were you for your 1st time go with the softmod ive modded about 10 xbox's just with softmod alone its very easy to do and you dont have to open up your xbox at all with just the right files you will be set also it only takes me about 15 min to do each xbox

Yeah this is my first time and I really aint dont know what you mean by softmod....Sorry!!!! And if it is somthing I need to download where can I get it from

killerx- where did you get 10 xboxs from? lol

but i have to disagree, it is easyer to go with a solderless modchip. because if you mess up on a softmod, then you can perminantely damage your xbox. if you go with a modchip, then if you want to demod your box, just take out the chip. basically, the chip does all the work for you.

what kind of mods do you do. did you get into case modding yet....and can you hook a boy buy witta xbox =P

nah not yet i have not gone to the case mod yet but mad people i know love the mod lol i charge people 50 bucks for the mod just to get it done

well if you wanna make easyer profit, learn how to put cold cathode lights inside. the cathode,inverter, and wires cost probably no more than $10, just add those in and you can easily make profit.i unfortunately cant do that because in my area its all about ps2 and psps
