Has been idscussed before...WifiiRouter is a better then Pdanet. If you have wifi built in or via card or external hardware... this is indeed the best app for using phone to access the internet and tunring the phone into a a router!! :focus:

As mentioned above in the original post, the modded version is only for if you are having installation issues. In other words, doesn't that mean the modded version does the same functions?

To clarify all the mixup cause I have used the app since the day it was out. I HAVE NOTICED the cab file works and installs with mo issues with sprint carries. THE EXE version via activesync is the app (thats works for all carriers) to use if the cab file doesnt work. The exe is always the best way to go anyway! (personal experiences)

I downloaded the newest version of WMWifiRouter and installed No2Chem's Windows Mobile 6.1 5060 ROM yesterday, now all my overheating/battery charge failures are fixed.

And I just terminated my $40 Phone as a modem plan and purchased the $15 Sprint PCS Vision services and it all works like a charm.

After about an hour and a half of learning winrar and how to install programs onto my phone I got this program to work and connect my laptop to it. I gotta say this is a sick program to have. Works awsome and that video really helped to. Damn sprint for trying to charge extra for tethering hahaha

Damn I think I messed up my settings because it wont send out a signal anymore.
I think because I tried it when it was charging from the usb port to my computer.
I even went ahead an made a new connection from scratch, it keeps trying to dial that sprint 777 :(
any ideas?

yea go to start/setting/connections/wifi and then go down where you will see a drop down box, hit that and select the option that says only computer to computer and you should be ok

The program makes setting changes as it loads, and then switches them back when it unloads. Under options is crash recovery. Anytime the program doesn't successfully load (ie in your case, internet shareing bugged out because you were tethered) use the recovery to get back to your default settings, then try to reload the program. You can just X this program out either, you gotta use the diconnect and quit buttons.

ok, so now that i've deleted wmwifirouter off my phone, i get an error message every retart my phone with a popup before the phone even fully restores to the today screen saying "wmwf_config" was not found blablabla.... how the hell do i keep my phone from searching for this file... i've deleted all traces of wmwifirouter on my phone and i still get this error...??

If it is on startup check your startup folder to make sure there is not a link file there, but you will most likely need to pick through your registry to rid yourself of the issue. Did you use the prgoram remover or did you just go in and start deleteing things?

i always use the programs uninstall option if applicable, otherwise just goto Start/Remove Programs and do it that way... I've searched through the registry again and again and cant find any of the files that are integrated into wmwifi... And I didnt have this issue before the install, after the install i wasnt satisfied because of the lack of communication between phone and psp, so i erased it, soft reset and upon soft reset it had that lil error box popup like a startup file is missing... But there are no wmwifi files anywhere on my phone to be found... Any certain spots in registry maybe to look, or is there a way to just make it not look for the file at all, thats what im after...

try downloading sktools and run the clean up and the other stuff in there. jew says that will clean up the stuff that doesnt work

Just delte your email account and set it up again... I noticed if you have 2 accounts from gmail. One of them will always ask you for a password. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it acts up. Try deleting email account and set it up again!

Please try the lateset verson 1.03 and fun the exe from the PC.... thats how i got my customers version to work!

I have the same problem fatal error. I try all versions (1.01, 1.01i,1.04) with the same problem. But i found the solution for my problem. I unistall the .cab program that i install in my device. then i install the cracked.exe version 1.01i with my laptop via activesync and follow the instructions. i use the same serial txt and now works perfectly until now. Sorry about my bad english and i hope that this reply help someone too.

got it to work and this is what i did. first i watched the youtube video and did all the steps, then on the options tab in wmwifirouter i went to configuration, cellular connection, and chose sprint pcs. oh and in comm manager i went to settings, wireless lan, menu, network cards, and held on my wifi name and chose turn on wifi. hopes that helps. i currently don't know if connecting to sprint pcs will charge me so hopefully someone will find that out.

you dont need a wireless card on this bro it makes your phone into a router.

Okay, I want to make sure my phone is connecting correctly. I can get the programs running and connect to the internet with it. However my phone status says

Sprint PCS
Phone as Modem

instead of
Sprint PCS
Sprint PCS (which is how it is when I use the phone's internet)


is this how the program is supposed to run or is it logging me on as PAM and am I incuring new PAM Charges instead of the regular data that is covered on my unlimited data plan???

This may be a stupid question, but I really want to avoid sprint's extra data charges.
