Kaos's **** Sprint Custom rom Build 420 Take 2

My Rom is based off of nueROM v2.0, build 5060 with some stuff removed some added...all and all very stable...

I updated to the latest official release of WM6.1 from the leaked Kaiser roms. XIP has been ported too, seems like it had some new memory management features too. Enjoy, and let me know if you encounter problems. As a quick test of speed, try going to file explorer and opening the windows directory.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

If you are new to flashing, please read this provided by quantumforce1. No, your phone is not a brick if its on the tricolor screen.

You must have radio 3.35 installed on device before flashing..

Great Rom Kaos, just got my mogul today, and flashed it out the box with your rom. I have a problem though, was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem. The align screen tool isnt working at all. in my haste to check out the rom i didnt align it right and it is anoyingly off. also is there a way to make the scroll bars larger? im a tall guy with big fingers.... nuff said... lol. also i did a search on the htc home for your rom. where can i download it? any help will be appreciated. thanks :PDT_Armataz_51:

make sure u take battery out for a minute and then hard reset after u flashed it, if not that could be your problem with the align screen. and as for the home plugin, jus search for weather fix* and it should be there.

like any other one add to the my ringtones file of the my documents folder than go to start/settings/personal/sounds and notifications and change.

I just installed the kaos **** sprint custom rom on my mogul 6800 and everything works great. Expect, sprint tv titan I get an error message saying "unable to get billing system indicator for the MDN(12)." Does anybody have any idea how I can get it to work? Thanks.

works fine for me you sure you are using the right cab file that is up and working again?

Yea, I think so it's the SprinTV-Titan cab right? That's the one I used on the stock rom and it work perfectly.

I just discovered another problem. When I click on the camera button on the mogul, I get an error message, "unable to initialize camera. Failed to set up the camera device." I just installed the HTC camera 4.11. Any Ideas Dash?

its the camera not the rom bro and keep this thread on the rom please...... might not be compatible with the mogul i used it on the touch and if itsgiving you that error prolly isnt.

Ok I reformatted my mogul. When I try to view a page through the internet I still get an error message "the page cannot be found. Check the name and try again." How can I fix it dash?

All is working GREAT
But I'm having same issue with trying to do "Screen Align"
Get 1st crosshair in center, but screen doesn't recognize
Anyway to re-align???
Thinking of re-flashing phone, but I have hours of customizing this thing.

ive never had the problem sounds like you didnt follow the steps and take the batter out for a minute after the flash and hard reset after that

Ouch! Im just reporting my issue.
Followed all to a T. ROM works Great! Just wanted to realign screen, it is off alittle on the right side. Found this issue. Was reading thru post and noticed someone else with same issue. Just wanted someone to know.

Hello I saw a vid on you tube and it said it had the kaos take 2 rom installed. In the vid it had the diamond theme with everything working (media player, dialer ...) and a really cool slide to unlock, just wondering if they are part of this rom or were they extra? Cool work you guys!

no they arent look at the first post it will tell you whats included!!! search for diamond using the search feature in green below the banner and you will find all the skins and the format that was used is throttle launcher.

Whats up everyone

ive just flashed my first custom rom with this one and was really excited until it keeps restarting - within about 1-2minutes after starting up.

ive already removed the battery and did the hard reset, im not really sure what to do now :(

any ideas? i followed the flash guide exactly.

you need the 3.35 radio search for radio and you will find a thread called 3.35 sprint radio you need to flash that..... since you didnt follow the steps in my signature on flashing you have to do it that way.

I had the same problem... i had to reflash in order to do the screen alignment right. if you want to speed up your customizing, just put all the progs you want in a folder on your mem card... backup your contacts and docs on there then flash... saves alot of time dl it to your device. then you can just go down the line and run the cabs for what you want... on there

Hi all,

Well my first flash experience didn't go as smoothly as possible however it's not at a loss yet.

Yesterday when searching for a RUU when SMJ was down I came across what I thought was the correct RUU but unfortunately it was TITA100 SPL-1.20.Olipro. I read on this forum that was an old version that'll limit my capabilities for getting it back to stock as there will be issues relocking it from that loader.

What i've tried and failed:
Relocking
Flashing the 3.35 radio (stock)

Would going to another custom version allow me to then relock once its working?

Right now it hangs on the Kaos load screen that says missing radio.

if i'm not mistaken and I may be you just need to flash the radio using the 2.40 unlocker. but im not positive so thats up to you if you decide to run with my "maybe gonna brick your device" info

ok first of all, 1.20 is the wrong unlocker which is the old one, you need verion 2.40, and using the old unlocker can result in bricking your device. now for this rom to work u need sprints stock radio 3.35(you dont need to relock to flash to stock 3.35 b/c u will flash back to custom) then flash over ot this rom. Please next time do your research, dont just search for one thing and think its all good as u can really mess up your device. Now if waht i told u doesnt work then u probably bricked your device and have to take it in tosprint store for service, and if they ask u tell them that u did a hard reset and that happened.

Thanks dude i knew it was the old loader and was able to get the new one on there, now im running this rom and i like it, too bad i installed a really slow theme, figuring out how to remove all the crap that was required to run it.

So after digging through this thread for a few hours (until my eyes started swimming) I've decided to reflash the kaos rom. It was running fine, but hanging around 9-11 meg depending on what was open and such. I did pop the battery and hard reset the first time around, but it might have been too late or something.

The other thing I'm wondering is if synching with my corporate exchange server is taking a big hit. I had loaded s2su, hhc, ultimate launcher, opmon, and resco, so based on what I was reading, kinda felt like I should have more mem available.

well sounds about right with what you got installed and all many memory hogs... and runs fast for me when i was running you should try the htc performance cab found here doing a search.
