No, you never under any circumstances want to restore a complete back up after flashing to a new rom. The backup wil overwrite the current roms registry and just make a mess. When you flash a new rom, only restore your contacts, messages, and appointments. Never a full restore. That makes it pointless to even flash a new rom. If you like your old rom so much, just go back to it.
