it should still be fixable if he runs the unlocker or even just tries to unlock right over it with the correct unlocker for the bootloader aka hardspl.
Thats the problem though, he is saying he cant even get the phone on. No power at all, no bootloader, nothing. Not even a HR from phone off. Its weird, or he is not doing it properly.
