need help need help need help!!! i bricked my touch pro a for sum reason i can't hard reset either i doing it wrong or the user guide has sum miss prints need help has anyone did a hard reset on thier pro

Do a search on you tube. There are plenty videos that will show you exactly what to do.

to hard reset all you have to do is press and hold the power button, the volume down button and the middle circle and dont let go until the screen changes than follow the steps

i might be stuck also...my fone is stuck on the tough pro screen with the red letters on the bottom....i took the battery out twice and it stil wont go past this screen what should i do?

What did you do before this? Did you try to flash a ROM or something?

yes i tried the kaos but it had an error...so i did unlocker agian

What do yo mean it ha an error? Did you have it unlocked before you tried to flash? What part of the process did it error out at? What happened when you ran the unlocker again?

it was at like almost 90 % then it said it had an error and couldnt finish loading....(it said this on the comp) then i went to unlock it agian cause i did unlock it once before to get hibby's rom....but then i went to flash to kaos and i thought i would have to unlock agian....once doing that i turned it on and it wont go past this screen....dunno what to do...if i got to my provider should they be able to do soomething or should i try to fix it here first

Well, I know once you unlock it, your good. You dont have to re-unlock it everytime you wanna flash a custom rom. You would only have to relock it for the stock rom if you were gonna take in for service or something like that. Now, after that, Im kinda hesitant. I've never had the problem so I'm not to sure. Have you tried to hard reset from where it goes? Dont know if it would work but its worth a try. I would also try to flash it. Just boot it up when its hooked to your comp and run the update. See if it goes through. But honestly, Dash or Kaos will prolly know the most when it comes to this. So you should wait for one of theme for a definitive answer.

yeah its not allowing me to connect to the comp...other wise i wouldve tried lol...and how do u hard reset?

if you go to your provider they wont help you as its not an official rom and you were hacking your phone they may even charge you...

it sounds like when you "unlocked it again" befor flashing Kaos rom... you actually locked it... try putting it in bootloader mode and running the unlocker again, then reflash kaos rom... and make sure its the rom for your phone... that should work... hopefully

read the thread i searched and posted for you. If you correctly hard reset it wouldn't do that. It will ask you on your screen "are you sure you wish to hard reset" if yes press volume up, if no then volume down. at least take a second to glimpse at the post before going on.

it asked you these words on a gray background "Are you sure that you wish to hard reset? Doing so will erase all of your information and reset to manufactured state" ???

yes i did that and it asked to be rebuted and it did....but then it still sticks on that screen

ok guys very easy fix for this if it is freezing at the splash screen.... you are missing the radio and thats the trouble...... heres a link with radios, just flash it like you would the rom... i use the telus version and have no troubles and is the best one i have used........

it will connect.... if you dont have it pluged in after you palce the phone in bootloader mode you will see that it says serial.... when you plug the cord into your computer it will go to usb. when that shows you are connected even though your computer wont recognize it as being so....... just run the romupdateutility and you will be fine :>

or you can do from the card by doing this
1. extract the nbh file from the radio ruu folder
2. rename it to RALPHIMG.nbh
3. take a 2 gig sd card or less and format to FAT32
4. drag the nbh tover to the newly formatted card
5. place the phone in manual bootloader by pressing and holding the power, volume down, and midle circle on the d-pad.
6. than follow the steps on screen and you will be fine...

let me know how the above ways worked for you and what way you went with if you dont mind :>

thanks dash i am using the bootloadr one and for some reason it wont let me use kaos rom it gets close to the end of the update and it says file is corrupt any idea?

Sounds like your download might be messed up. Try redownloading it and flashing again.
