This is a tutorial on how to creat custom skins for throttle lock. If you have any questions, just post them here and me or someone else will help you the best we can:)

I truly appreciate the tutorial. Knowledge is a priceless tool, one which is often taken for granted. I do have a question pertaining to Throttle Lock, but not "Skins". I apologize if posting this question here is not acceptable. I had an experience where one was trying to unlock my phone by trying various patterns. Fortunately, they were unsuccessful. This account did spawn the thought...How hard would it be to implement a function within the Throttle Lock where after one or more incorrect patterns entered, an alarm would sound! Similar to the clock alarm setting...or a sound/ringtone downloaded. This would increase the security and deter further attempts! Any ideas and or support would be appreciated. :starwars:

Well, this doesnt really have to do with this perticular thread, but I dont really mind. You help out enough around here to get a free one every now and then:) But as for what your saying, it would have to be moded into the program itself, and thats outta my leauge as of now. You might wanna try another thread in free talk or somethin, so poeple will be able to see the title of the thread and know what your askin before they go to it:)

Like i stated in the video, I used paintshop pro 10. Any version of paintshop would basically be the same:)

Ok the problem is the dot-wrong and the dot-nosel have alot of transparent area around the actual picture, where as the dot.png is almost complety covered with the image. Now, you may have the first 2 sized to a larger size, but the image will apear smaller in the throttle lock because the actual image is being squeezed down and concenced because of the transparent area. Look at it this way....its like a box with football in it, now if you condense the box, keeping all the aspect ratios locked in place, the box may be sized at 60x60, bit that football will be even smaller because of the space around it. Whereas, if you would of put the box in a smaller box(less transparent area) and resized it, the box and ball would be relitivlety the same size. Long story short, either shrink the dot.png more or make the other 2 larger. I hope that didt confuse you too much.

secondly i used everything besides the icons and background from the alba skin josamu made me

i have no problem crediting him for these things (being the battery, signal etc)

am i allowed to use these?

You will have to PM him and get his OK for that, then give him the credit in the release, and yes you can release it, just put NSFW in the title.

the reason you are having that problem is also because your dot.png image is a half body, and the other 2 are full, so it looks wayy larger, i tried to resized everything and i say it looks pretty good, but unless you find a full body picutture to use as your dot. image, it will always look kinda off. p.m. me and i will send you the file.

I can see them now, but it was just a blank screen....wierd... thanks !
