New Version Of Skyfire Relesed Today 13-dec-08

just installed this on my touch. thanks mike. i dont know if its just me but this one seems noticeably faster. i wonder if others will think so too. between skyfire & opera i can do pretty much anything i want on my phone with little time at all.

I just installed this on my vogue as well but it seems really choppy and not as refined as opera. But the layout is very nice. Thanks!!

Skyfire is where its at bro. All the downloading and converting are done server side, thats why its like looking at a real monitor with full flash support. It may be a little choppy during scrolling every now and then. But its the most adaptive mobile browser out rite now:)

So people... any noticeable improvments since the last version? I'm a skyfire fan, but I'd like to know if its worth upgrading to this version and going throuhg the installation and setup process again. Any and all reveiws, veiws and opinions greatly appreciated!

well the loading of the pages was noticably faster...besides that theres not much else but hey you can never go wrong with having the latest versions of anything!..go ahead and take the extra 10 seconds of installation.. :)

im not too sure about that latest version thing, i mean sometimes the latest version isn't necesarily the best, like when I first installed s2u2..v 1.19 it worked perfect, smooth and flawlessly then i thought along your lines and eventually upgraded to v 1.33, now nothing terribly wrong with it, but i find on my phone sometimes it lags, and doesn't load the s2u screen right away when taken out of sleep mode... to me the version i had before worked better on my device... moral of the story being... sometimes, "if it ain't broke don't fix it" but back to skyfire.. faster/better performance always sounds good!

interesting comments bout s2u2. i agree, new doesn't always mean better, especially in the infancy stage the PPC app world is in right now. try the newest s2u2 1.37 LOL.. just fyi it works good on my touch.
