[NEW] ThrottleLock Diamond/Pro Theme

Hey guys I just got sick of not having everything match my pretty sweet default theme for the diamond so I made a ThrottleLock skin to go along with it. I only spent a few minutes on it like maybe 20 so its not amazing but its pretty decent. hope you all like it, give me feedback...

Install:

Go to throttle lock folder on your phone.
Copy the "Diamond" folder into the "skins" folder.
Open ThrottleLock Config
Under skin select Diamond
Press save
load up throttlelock and it should be all set!

throttlelock is just a locking app, that works by you setting a certain pattern that you have to enter to unlock it, it can be skinned easily as demonstrated by this thread

have you installed throttle launch on your phone? once you do that follow these steps...

1. drag the image files to your card. (place in regular folder named whatever you want)
2. copy the folder
3. paste the folder in the themes folder inside throttle launch from the file explorer.
4. DONE.|

Well i got the throttle lock app and it was a rar file.. SO when i used winrar it made a diamond folder on my phone.. but it didnt let me load the app on my phone its just a folder...

togram too this is just a skin and not the app itslef.... do a search for throttle lock and you will find the application.

Dont worry about copying the folder, copy the contents of the folder. The images and such, then past them in the default folder under programs/throttle lock/skins. overwrite when prompted to, then your good to go. The problem with copying the folder itself to the skins folder is not all throttle lock themes on here are complete and some wont run without the xml file in your default folder. If you want, you can make a copy of the default folder, rename that to whatever you want your skin to be, then follow the directions I gave you with pasting the files in the newly created theme folder and overwrite when prompted. This way you can switch back and forth between themes.

you may need to get a newer version of throttlelock, the one that supports themes. :)

Yeah, I have actually tried that. It says (using 'dot' as an example): Cannot copy 'dot' access denied. Be certain there is enough free storage memory, that the destination is not write protected, and that the file is currently not in use."

The file is not in use i know that, and i should definitely have enough storage space because i barely have apps on my phone.

Actually I've got another question for you guys. I've been messing around with making my own skins. According to this thread the size of the background is 320x320 so I'm messing around and making stuff but when I get it to work my background doesnt seem to be fully viewed. It looks too big...any perfect dimensions (HTC Touch Pro)?

320X320? where the hell did you get that number from lmao... only the newest palm treo 800 has that screen dimensions..... the touch pro is 480X640

that doesnt make sense at all tho now that i think about it because my image being 320x320 is already too big how am i going to fit a 480x640 on there?

how did i make you feel dumb... if you didnt know i was joking loosen up bro i do a lot of that there and anyone here can back me up and tell you i was joking and not trying to be mean so lets not be sensative about every little thing..... it does make since just do it and i guarntee that it will work...... think about the number of pixels.... the more pixels you have the more you need to fill the space making it a smaller image.... the less you have the larger it will look.

haha dashy NEVER jokes around hes ALWAYS serious... jk... lightin up a bit man, but in this case you are right about the 320 x 320 merc. The reason for this is that for some reason throttlelock takes a 320 x 320 image but it doesnt center it, so only part of the image shows. It's very weird how it works, but open my image in photoshop or paint, i had to move it more to the left side of the image in order to make it look like its centered when in throttlelock. I think the reason they use 320 x 320 is because the actual background only takes up a certain section of the screen, the top clock part has its own background.

What throttle lock does is takes the QVGA images and stretched them to fit a VGA device. So if you use the 240x320 then it will stretch out perfect, and like venum said, if you use 480x640 it will be all messed up and just a portion of the backround. I'm making a video tutorial on making throttle lock themes today, so keep a look out for it:)

yeah, in the skin.xml file change the line

<param name="ClockFormat" value="HH:mm" />

to

<param name="ClockFormat" value="hh:mm" />

and it will be regular time

First you will have to install throttle lock and theres instructions on how to install this theme on this page

OK do this .... Im assuming you have the program installed and that you have downloaded the theme on this thread correct? Now locate the file that contains the theme within the file locate the file skin.xml once you find it double click on it ... it will open as a notepad ... once in there change the parameters specified before ... any questions let me know OK

did u extract the files in the PC? If not you have to do that because you wont be able to edit the skin file if it is still inside as a rar file. I just downloaded the theme and it has normal time try to download it again and the issue is fixed already
