This will work fine then if your phone is CDMA. The problem may come in with your internet. Ive never heard of your carrier, so I doubt there is a carrier cab for it. A carrier cab is what sets up your internet for use while on a custom ROM built for another carrier.

The only differences between the versions is really the mms options it comes with. But whichever one you choose, when its done and you boot up fpr the first time (after your battery pull and hard reset) make sure you soft reset when it says "preparing for customization in 3 sec" or somethin like that. There is a 3 sec countdown that you must reset in to cancle that. If you miss it, then it will load all of that carriers apps and settings on your phone....which is not a good thing:)

You were talking about me having to redo the network configuration again...are you talking about the "Internet"/network configuration? If so, I have already written down the entire configuration for that.

Is there a way I can "backup" or rip the current OS and configuration data from the device before doing this? Worst case is a replacement using my insurance I guess :(

no, this is for the touch, not the diamond like your profile says you have. Also, your GSM, this is CDMA only. If a ROM is for GSM it will say so specifically in the first post. May I suggest xdadevelopers. They have alot of GSM roms, but then you should come back here....because we have more apps and games then anyone.

Hi, a noob here.....I have flashed the xv6900 vogue with verizon and installed the valhalla cab. gps is working.... is there any vogue mod/rom that I can just flash without altering the changes I've already done?

no that would be impossible..... it would be like adding vista to a xp computer and than having everything still set up for you.... each time that you flash you have to reinstall but trust me you will get good at it and can do the whole process in 45 minutes when you get good. :>

quick question..... when i install any program on the storage card, shouldn't it use the memory on the storage card and not decrease the memory on the device..... well i just installed the manila 2d on this rom... everything is perfect but i installed everything on the storage card but the main memory decreased from like 157 mb to like 120 mb...... and there is no change on the storage card size..... so any idea why it is using my device memory ????

it will still need to use space on the main memory for the changes in registry, shortcuts, etc..... but it loads the main memory first than the storage card.... so anything that needs to bootup off reset or anything that you need to load first needs to be loaded to the main memory and not the card...

it will error out on you.... you dont want to install manilla2d to your storage card...... it says that right in the forst post ofthat thread that you have to have it installed to the main memory.

no there isnt another update on the way,......not much to do to the touch.....this has everything you could use......and by far the best....its the one i used when i had my touch

there are till lots of roms, and M2d roms as well, as m2d is for qvga, as long as its a touh m2s rom, you can rock it.... as far as new rome, Detter just uploaded his newest a couple weeks ago, which you can find here, and there tons more still being developed which you can find over at ppcgeeks, its just a matter of knowin what you want... OMJ is in beta stage of his latest m2d rom, WDM has one out, there a cristal m2d rom, an I* rom, a m2d rom w/ the IOLITEfootprints installedd, etc etc.... the list goes on bro... you just gotta know what you want and where to look, dont find enough option for new once here, the rom developer boards for cdma touch stay active over here, go get yourself one, and just continue to come back here to Wckediden, for all you ppc, apps, themes, and all other needs!

i would suggest taking a look at one of the staff's signatures as they have a link on how to flash roms. and yes you would need to unlock your touch with the touch unlocker, read the sigs for information on how to do this

sounds like incorrect radio because you didnt follow the steps....... did you have a gps rom on your device before you flashed this one? and what radio version do you have? it will be next to the R: in the red writing when the phone boots.

your most likely looping cause the new PagePool didnt take effect....to hard reset you press and hold both talk and end key and use your stylus to perform a soft reset. keep holding down the hard keys untill it prompts you to perform hard reset....Id suggest reading the how to flash guide found below in my signature before you don anything else....you can brick your phone if you u dont know what your doin. we are not responsiable for your mistakes......

I successfully loaded the new image, after unlocking the phone, but now the phone is hung-up at the startup\splashscreen and will not boot into Windows CE. Does anyone have any idea of what's going on and how to fix this?

I have the HTC Touch (XV6900). I'm kind of in a real pickle here as I'm completely down and this is a company phone.

on bootup when that red writing is on the screen in the bottom right the second from the top you will see R: X.XXXX what are those numbers...... sounds like you just have the wrong radio because the steps werent properly followed.

That may well be the case as I only had the README.DOC to follow. I only had a link to the RUU with nothing else to refer to. Where is the posted, correct, documentation that lists the proper steps as well as the compatible hardware\radio versions?

dude its alll right under your nose and if you read through any of the thread you would have found your answer...... take a look below at my signature and you have the tutorial right there on how to flash.... it was also referred to and linked throughout the post and the forums thousands of times...... modding your device isnt something that should be rushed into because you can and will brick your device..... not trying to be mean just looking out for you bro... take the time to research and read up as you would on a car or house and you will not run into any troubles..... jsut some sore eyes and a headache lmao..... take care and that shouls help you quite a bit...... for the radio, you flash it the same way as the rom but since you didnt tell me the number of the radio i cant help you to even say if you need to get a newer one or not.

man I spent a whole day reading the whole post, printing off copies of imcokemans thread and the flashing roms thread and studying them till I had it memorized and the whole process of flashing my first time only took about an hour. Take your time and spend time learning.

Actually, I found the section for flasing ROM but there is no master listing of what version radio and ROM is required. Just a simple ''flash custom with stock.'' I'm guessing that's what I'm doing here.

When I try to get the unlocker, I am notified, ''you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:'' and that's it. So which of the four reasons is it? I don't know.

When I login to the thread\posts, your signature disappears and I cannot access the links to flash, so it looks like I have to be signed out to see them but signed in to access them.

I don't have the phone with me, currently, but I believe it was 1.6xx. I can verify that tomorrow morning when I get back to the office.

I appreciate your willingness to help and I'm sure you can understand my frustration from a simple oversight on my part and my current state of being down.

Download the one posted for the touch in the flashing tutorial for this site... the rom probably already has one, but just to be on the safe side use that one, as you reguualr RUU folder for flashing

then after dl this rom, extract the .nbh file and put it in that RUU folder... (youll end up overwriting whatever .nbh file is already in there)

you chose those settings when you started through the setup to see them or not...

i cant get this one to download. im got 3 others dlin but this one, when i click on the rapidshare thingy my torrent client cant read it or something and it only shows that its 12.3kbs

i cant dl with the web browser cuz my connection is unstable it disconnects whenever it wants to and i gotta be at work in 15 minutes so....is this in a rar files some where

i got us cellular, or sprint i guess works too

it works yea but not for my system, think it has to be a rar or exe or something like that i cant use IE to download, my modem isnt table enough, would be a waste of time to try to dl then have it fail on a wireless dial up modem.....can u rar it?
