Hello all,

I am new to smart phone junkie, but i have been around technology all my life.....

i love everything that i have seen on here and am very impressed with all of the help that the members of this forum are willing to give.

i currently have an HTC touch pro and am loving it..

like many of my SPjunkie freinds out there i highly anticipated this phone for a while.....but when it finally came the "out of the box" experience left something to be desired. So i started searching. In my searches i found a treasure trove of information and programs to use to get my pro to what i wanted it to be...

currently running on my pro i have the following:

i downloaded a few apps and gave the place a good walkthrough to get familiarized......and i love it. everything that i need is right here at sbj

just a thought though, some of those "additional" tweak apps that you want came built in to my ROM. I picked the Dette rom basically for the touchflo2D on my touch, but didn't realize that it actual came with alot of the "extras" I wanted, which worked out really well!!! Just wanted to share that, maybe you can look around some more and find another ROM that fits your needs more specifically?

Thats true... it's always nice, when you find a nice stable/fast rom that comes with all the lil tweaks and extras apps youd want and need, it means less time having to install stuff and such, but i also find it pretty handy, to have those apps and such you need saved in ur storage card or on your home pc somewhere, if your someone like me who, will reflash regularly or even every so often, as not every rom you find that you like, will have all the apps you want... so its conveinant to have em tucked away... imo anywayz...

YES! and I totally agree with you on that crazy, b/c I just recently got the "hang" of flashing, and probably will be also doing it more often now, I kinda like that it wipes the phone complete "clean", you know if you only just did it for that, it's really worth it! then do the reinstall from backup. simple. but that's also a very good point and well taken, thanks I will keep that in mind next time I flash!

And I am finding that it's the "little" things I don't like about some ROM's I've tried and I was so totally in love with on the previous or whatever........for instance, weather icons/graphics! I love my weather graphics, and the wiping windshield blade when it's rainy! but then not all ROM's have that...................LOL........

GUESS IT'S JUST PERSONAL PREFERENCE, on how he wants to do it, either way he got some good advice from both of us.................

Yes this is member introductions but i do appreciate all the feedback

i have now flashed two roms....the kaos hybrid and the big jew murder rom and both are fast and stable..

i personally went back to the kaos rom for simple looks i really like the way that it feels and looks.

i am a person that like to be in control so regardless if the roms already have the tweaks that i want i will still probably install them anyway just so that i have control over what is being done..
also i am already stackin and packin all of my favorite programs in my memory card...it just makes the transition from rom to rom that much easier..
