trying to flash the Titan_Radio_ROM_3.42.30 radio onto my mogul, I keep getting error 328 invalid command after 8%. whats going on?

ok i got it, aparently if i tried to upgrade over usb, i'd have to downgrad ehte bootloader first. and so i avoided that by updating via sdcard. luckily i had a 2gb one laying around

I want to take my Alltel Touch Pro to Verizon. Do I just need to unlock it to do this or do I need to unlock then flash to verizon rom for it to perform better? Thanks in advance for any help!

call them and tell them that you have a touch pro and you want to activate... dont tell them through a different provider and than give them the hex esn only from the back and they will be able to do it.... you can find the stock rom dump to get all the features and necessary things by using google.... you will also have t change some settings around to get the mms and the internet to work correclty..... take a look at the sprint touch pro on verizon network thread for more details.

Quick question. What am I doin wrong that when I am flashing back to Sprint Stock rom from MightyRom...it shows flashed but I can't get the Mighty Rom to go away. It shows on the splash screen and is still on the phone. How do I completely switch back? I tried relocking and doing it, unlocking and using the dump file...Helllpp..

The issue is I can't get my data to work. It keeps showing "Cannot locate remote server" and I can't find any posts that solve that issue so I'm thinking about just sending it back to Sprint for a replacement but I'm trying to get it back to stock before I do that.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

what are you using to flash stock? the nbh file or exe? if you used exe it should revert everything back to stock, rom and radio and prl.

I have been using the nbh file not the exe so that may be the issue I would assume. I got the dump file from ppcgeeks but I may have to get a different one. So the exe file just gets saved on my computer then I run that file, correct?

I was hoping to be able to resolve the data issue without doing this but I may be at the point of no return now.

is ppcgeeks the recommended link to getting the exe?

I'm a rookie at customizing so I appreciate all the advice..keep it coming please...

wait, i thought u were just trying to get mighty's bootscreen off? didn't say anything bout data but anyways..yeah, if it's not posted here then get it from ppcgeeks. just download the exe and run it

No, the data thing was a seperate issue. Yes I am trying to get Mighty off the bootscreen and off the rom. When I currently go into "device info" it shows MightyRom.

The data issue was something more technical that I can't seem to resolve even with advance technical support from Sprint.

So my main concern now is getting Mightyrom off so Sprint doesn't see it when they get the phone back.

well, do what i said. find the exe and just run it while device is connected to computer. after that, relock your phone. they will have 2 different ones on ppc. get whatever one u want, i prefer the newer one

first try a hard reset or reflash and if that doesnt work get the stock bootscreen and than rename that welcomehead96 and make it png extension. than once you do that use resco file explorer or total commander to overwrite it in your windows folder and than your done :)

Thanks for your help...that did work its back to Sprint Rom...while I was working with the tech support they keep asking for an "update" icon on the Settings tab that now shows up with the Sprint Rom but was not there with the MightyRom..that was what was needed to resolve the "cannot locate remote server" issue.

So I'm hoping now I can get the data working, reflash either MightyRom or Silence 8.5 and the data will continue to work.

Thanks again for keepin the instructions on the re-re level for me..

hey im having a problem with flashing and even unlocking my touchpro....everytime i go to do it it will start to load to the tri color screen and when the screen goes black when its about to change active sync will disconnect..and the rom update wont work...and if im connected to active sync and i press the power button just to turn the screen to sleep mode not off it disconnects then when i turn the screen back on it will reconnect...any idea why?

i'm having the same problem with my vogue. except i thought it was maybe suppose to happen so i tried to finish the unlocking and when i got to the "tap here to set up your phone" thing, start to set up the touch screen and then it started to reboot/reset itself. it just keeps on doing that over and over. i pulled the battery so not to lose power????????????????????

sounds like you dont have the correct radio on your device..... wehn it boots up and the red letters and numbers come up in the bottom right hand corner what does it say next to the R: ?

OK, so I finally flashed to the Mighty Rom 4.something and you guys were right, it's a lot easier than I feared. I do have a question, however, when I downloaded the custom ROM and extracted it to its folder, there's like 10 or 11 files in there. I then extracted the RUU to its seperate folder.

But the flashing instructions just say to "drop the nbh file in the RUU Folder" then run the romupdated utility. So if only 1 file (the .nbh file) is in the RUU folder, what happens to the other 10 files that came with the ROM? Do they get loaded to the device?

Also, if I want to flash another custom ROM over the MM ROM then I just follow the same procedure: copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU;
Place phone in bootloader mode;
open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe

Congrats bro on ur first flash and when it says drop the nbd file in the ruu folder u dont have to drop it in u could just leave it out on desktop and im sure they all get installed ,and yes bro to flash to another custom rom u follow the same easy steps ,when flash back to stock thats different u then follow some other simple steps.

OK, but I actually made 2 folders: 1 called RUU and called ROM and extracted the files to separate folders. So I actually copied the nbh file into the RUU folder from the ROM folder. It seems to be working but idk if its all in there.

IDK, maybe not, but I've never actually just "unzipped to the desktop" like the instructions say, I unzip to a folder. What happens when u just unzip to a desktop? :) And I guess it will be fine, but I may get addicted to this flashing thing and want to do it right next time.

When u unzip to desktop all the files come out of the zip to the desktop thats it nothing bad happens and u did fine .

im new to this site i seen some of the stuff you guys do to the phones. i sell phones and i have alot of phones but none are as nice as the ones that are flashed so i was wondering what do i do to start flashing and what would be a good starter phone to start with as i do not want to blow a 600 dollar htc touch pro in the process of learning so please tell me a good cheap phone that i can pick up if i dont already have one to experiment with and learn the art of flashing thank you! P.S. is there a INCREDIBLE HULK FLASH THAT I COULD FLASH MY SPRINT TOUCH PRO WITH??? I'LL BE PATIENT THANKS sdwyz74

Dash, I followed all the steps for flashing my Touch Pro. I've even read the majority of the post from the bottom to get a better understanding of how it's done. Everything goes smoothly until it hits 44% then it gives me an "ERROR 296: This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get newer NBF file."
Like I said, I followed the instructions step by step and didn't see an NBF file anywhere.

FYI: I'm running off Windows Vista. Is that the problem?

anyone of those should work. should work just fine on vista... make sure your phone has 50% batt life.... if not... put your phone in bootloader and run the unlocker (hardspl)

have you unlocked the device before? you only have to unlock your device once.

No I've never unlocked it before, but when the tri-color screen came up under bootloader it stated my phone was unlocked...

doesnt matter, you have to unlock it otherwise the orms will not be flashed and will error out with a invalid vendors code error........ it only takes literally 1 minute to unlock if your slow :)

upload the file to something like rapidshare, megaupload, megashares, mediafile, etc...


i would recommend mediafire though...... they never seem to having any troubles with their servers and the files dont get taken down as often..... or you can even attach to the site.

what a nightmare. im stuck on spl page staring at the red,green blue, white bars. Ive done everything from every web site including trying to flash it from a storage card and its just not working. my ppc says usb but it dosnt register as connected when i use the tools to flash the rom. i disable the activesinc and the titan exitbl dosnt work. i've been messing with this for 5 hours and nada. I need a drink....

OK dammit. here goes my rant and rave. On every web site i went to( and i went to all of them i swear), when flashing from a sd card, they say to rename the nbh file to "TITAIMG.NBH" Well for anyone having a problem with this, dont rename it as such. Rename it "TITAIMG". Its already a nbh file so when you rename it TITAIMG.NBH it comes out on your card as TITAIMG.NBH.nbh. I had a similar problem a year ago when i was messing with my boot up screen. Those on the web kept saying " change the name to "whatever.png" I kept doing it and it wouldnt work. i couldnt figure out why until i looked into the windows and saw that it was being renamed as "whatever.png.png". I cant believe i spent 5 hours trying to figure this out lol. i had to take a break, have a beer and a double shot of jamesons irish whisky, and then i was able to figure out what i was doing wrong. So remember please. Its a .nbh file so just rename it to TITAIMG . And make sure your card is formatted as fat32 ( on home computer, right click it and hit format and change it to fat32)

yup your right on the card but its supposed to disconnect as stated in supermans mogul tutorial already and throughout the thread. as long as your device says usb and not serial you are connected to activesync or device center...... than jsut run the ruu and you would have been straight.

Thanks i tried it that way but for some reason it wasnt working. No worries. from now on i'll just use the sd card. I was having problems yesterday synquing my phone via windows mobile device center. It was connected but wasnt syncing anything. I kept getting an error message.

What error message where you getting ?

it was telling me that it couldnt synq and to close and reopen. I cant remember exactly what the message said but it was along those lines. Then i couldnt see the device in the device manager when i opened it. I was getting a message that no device was detected and to close and reopen over and over. It was a bit frustrating. Thats when i concentrated on doing it with the sd card. today i updated my vista and my device is synqing now though I get this screen now that says my username and password ( which i dont have one set) for active sync. I dont know what thats all about.
