works great prolly one of the lowest memory usages I have seen on a rom. with nothing running im at 38% after a reset seems like it evens at around 41% though which is alot better than the 47% to 54% im used to seeing. Great job great look great feel. I love the way my Touch runs with this on it.

might I add that IE is running awesome in this build, way smoother than the last ones and they changed the top icons also. looks like they optimized it for RTM

Wow V9 giving me problems today. I opened internet explorer and tried to go to www.wckediden.com and it locked up. I did a soft reset with the stylus and when it rebooted it went to the set up as if i hard reset it. I guess I will re-load everything and see if it happens again.

Did you Pull Out Battery after Flashing and then Hard Reset. Hard Reset see if that helps you. If not reflash and do those steps so everything can take effect for the rom.

Yeah. I did it again just in case. Also, I have not reloaded any of my apps yet. Going to see how that goes and maybe start adding them back one by one giving time between each to see if one of them caused this. I will post anything I find out.

I have found that when this happened to me in the past with v8 i load the newest sotck rom and the reload this rom it works great. Make sure you load from BOOTLOADER screen and like d/\ash mentioned let customizations run and hard reset again. This helps set page pool and all that good technical stuff :)

have you tried a soft reset and see if that fixed it? it may be time for a hard reset... how long have you been on and have you updated it to the newest version? if not what version are you on?

well since its 2 months old you might need a hard reset.... remember these are just mini computers.... i would flash to the newest version and go from there.

i been doin research and on xda alot of ppl are having the same problem, and they are on V10 they are saying its Accuweather! or a problem with their server! i guess ima prey for it 2 fix itself for now, but ur right i should upgrade 1 v10, thanx

going over my post limit for this thread i'm sure but....

Anyone else noticed a problem with this rom. My phone will randomly hard-reset itself. I use the top button to put the phone into standby... a little while later the phone will be totally non-responsive to both the top power button, and screen taps. I push just the soft-reset button. When the phone comes back up it has hard reset. Method for install:

1: was running V8 w/ no problem
2: loaded v9 from bootloader screen
3: let customizations runs
4: turned phone off removed battery for 2min
5: replaced battery, rebooted phone and hard-reset
6: first started noticing random hard-reset issue
7: loaded v10 from boatloader screen
8: repeated steps 3-6

did i perhaps miss something? to the best of my knowledge I followed all the steps from the noob help posts.

mmmm odd, could have been a bad flash... have you tried going back to that rom with a new flash and seeing if it still does? did you see if it happened on the stock?

However, it won't install it keeps going to the initial screen where it says 0% after the initial colored bars.
Then it stops, and I get an error...no progress only at 0%... and i say 'recover' I take out the USB cable, then I take out the battery for a few seconds...and put back and power phone back on
Phone is fine.

I got the same thing when I attempted to update with version 10 of this 6.5 ROM.
Note: I have Windows Mobile 6.1 on the phone right now.

Rom Date: 08/04/08
Radio version: 3.42.50

I'm not sure where to go from here... so I can install this 6.5 update.?

Do I need to Unlock the phone? I didn't have to when I went from OS 5.0 to 6.1

I do also have Swcked pocket plus/and theme on the phone...i'm not sure if that would interfere with this process? I can take them out to see if that helps

I have done everything I can think of and can't get V12 to connect to the internet. I have flashed the stock rom, pulled the battery, hard reset, flashed v12 twice, loaded the NFSFAN Sprint Provisioning.cab, not loaded the NFSFAN Sprint Provisioning.cab. I'm not sure what else to do. I guess I will flash back to V11.

u tried installing a dcd carrier cab? not sure why it worked for u on v.11 but not v.12?

Yeah its wierd cause sometimes on the same rom when I hard reset it will work and somtimes it wont so I have to use the dcd cab. Strange huh?

no you dont, as long as YOU dont RE-LOCK IT again you are fine.

This ROM just keeps getting better and better. Been on v12 about 24 hours now. Awesome!

buddy has been running this and he is loving it and the stability is still there with the update but it somehow got faster!!!!!! very nice work by nfsfan

maybe i will update, i been too lazy to jump from version 11 to 12 lol. off topic a bit, dash can you get your device to sync with windows 7? the built in sync center doesn't recognize it.

you can use mobile device center 6.1..... works for me on X64

I read something over at xda about a driver called "Extendir" that can be cooked into the rom and make it up to 12 times faster in some instances. Maybe that how he got it faster.

So I am wanting to unlock a friends Touch for him on Verizon...And I having the hardest time finding the unlocker to be able to flash this ROM..


Now does the update ROM from HTC even need the unlocker as well?
