Want to chnage 300k to 1000k on sending audio files

Hey guys wanted to change the 300k to at least 1000k on sending audio files through text message, but only allows me to send nomore then 300k, but my gurls 6800 gives her the limit of 1000k. My question is, is there a way to change that setting to send more then 300k, any sugg. will do thanks again guys for the help

at this time i myself havent heard of a hack that will allow this.... i will take a closer look into this and get it added to my list of things to do. chime in if you know guys

I believe this isn't possible to change via text, its the carrier who sets a size limit.....but you could always send via bluetooth if you next to each other, our use arcsoft to send a file or folder that way...you can change size limit through the registry in arcsoft, i have mine up to like 7mb at the moment...can make it bigger if i wish...

I agree, that is the only and best way I know of.

i am sure there is a way to do this, more than likely a value in registry; however i have never seen a post on this topic. I mean obviously its not hardcoded into windows mobile and you said you are both on sprint, am i correct? i dont have a 6900 on me today, ill be able to check it out tuesday i should be getting one in the mail, is that the phone you're on?

well acctually the phones are flashed to cricket, but like i said my gurls is a 6800 and it gives her the limit of 1000k and mine is the 6900 and only gives me the limit of 300k

alright bro so i might have finally come up with a solution after searching a bit. I came across an application called "SmartTweaker" I will post it up on the forums in a little bit, but I will post what to do with the app here, here is the link to the post:

Once you have the app installed if you press the left arrow until you get to "16. Set MMS-Size to MAX" then just check "Enable" and press done, see if that works, hope it works for ya!

All right guys i found the solution on changing the K size from 300 to 1000, this is how its done, Go to start and look for your settings and click on PHM Regedit, once you open that up there shoucl be four HKEY's, click the HKEY_Locals_Machine and open, then scroll down to sofware and open, Arcsoft open, Arcsoft MMS UA, config open, MM1 open, MMSCSetting open, highlight cricket mms, click view on bottom screen, now you will see name and data on the mid screen and if you scroll down to name it will say WAP1RecDefa and the data should be 1024000, now the next three should be different if they are then we will change those if they are the same as 1024000 then you dont need to cause yours is already set up for the 1000K, now to change the others you gonna click the ones that are different from 1024000, and it will take you to another screen, once the screen is pulled up the secound tool bar that says value data is what we are going to chnage, donot touch the first tool bar that says value name, now change the old number to 1024000 and hit ok, once you hit ok it will take you back, now click the other data number and do the same step and hit ok now exit out and try to send out a pic. and audio more then 300 and it should work and that gives you the 1000K instead of the 300K hope this works out with the rest of you guys if you need any help just give me a holla thanks guys

just hit: start/settings/PHM Regedit/HKEY_Local_Machine/Software/Arcsoft/Arcsoft MMS UA/Config/MM1/Crciket MMS/View/Wap1SendDefa/Change Value Data to 102400/ok/Wap2SendDefa/Change Value Data to 102400/ok/exit and there you go now you can send pic. and audio longer then 300K.


Hope this was alot better then the Bible that i wrote, hope this helps you guys out. And also im not sure if this is the same for other providers but if not i think instead of cricket it should say your providers name

The registry settings that you described above work for upping the limit for Cricket....I dont know however if it will work for other carriers....my guess is that it probably will....the downside is that a number of people (crwinger comes immediately to mind along with to0 over at HOFO did alot of work to get Arcsoft to work for Cricket) worked alot on getting Arcsoft to work for Cricket....so keepin mind that a standard Arcsoft might not respond the way that the Cricket will..
