flashing and rom s

so i looked up the nfsfans unlocking and relocking and rom loading page lol... and basically from what i know and wat i've read i need a rom to actually set up this process... i want the touch diamond on my htc touch and so i see wat i have to do but i cant find the right rom to download there are so many........

also i have wm61 i think.... i see a lot of stuff talking about wm65 wats the difference and how can i change or tell which one is my phone???

im sorry to be asking but i blame it all on Dash and for opening my curiosity lol.... jk... thanks to dash i got a lot of stuff going but i see that it was just the beggining will someone please help....

there are many differences.... if you check out the videos i do in the utube section and check out the 6.5 videos and you will find the main differences visually as well as the app store. i like it way more than 6.1 to tell the truth... and if you havent flashed your device to a custom rom you wont have 6.5. you can find out what you have by going to start/settings/system/about.

so dash i'm having a problem when i'm getting ready to flash that when i get the rainbow going i connect to usb and activesync wont work or connect with device... when not in rainbow it will... any suggestions

also i keep having a problem with the unlock update do you think this is the problem?

As long as the bottom of the rainbow screen says "usb" then you ARE connected. Dont worry about the computer not saying it.

so its not downloading update and i say i've soft reseted about 5 times now... as the options say to do... any answers to y that could be happening????

what do you mean downloading update and not doing it? from where update for what?

error 262 forgot to mention.. but yea... same thing again.... argh... i got a few things that i changed on my phone could that make a difference?.. like

will any of this effect the update???

after that does it say connection eror or not correct vendor error or anything?

im doing the nfsfans 65 rom faq stuff and i'm using the 2.31 unlocker and flasher i guess.... which i'm thinking is the way to do it right?

i go into rainbow then connect

it says usb connect

then i open update utility 2.31 and then the phone will load settings and then as soon as updating it just says error 262

The rom update utility has encountered communication errors during the update process....... ???

after that then it shows recovery steps... thats it... it's done this over 6 times now!

and i look in the manual or watever the help thing is and it just keeps mentioning how i should just soft reset and do it all over again.... but same thing over and over again... lol...

suggestions?

oooooo i guess there is a problem with connections cause it doesnt even show up with what kind of image property i have... so how do you fix that?

i even tried a different usb cable... it's not capturing the IMAGE VERSION... idk wat the **** to do..

dude i'm so pissed... i redownloaded everything and on top of that i did a whole reset on my phone and on top of that i still didn't get crap for connection!!!! WTF!!!!
