Sprint Picture Mail (Issue Fixed)

2.Go to Start/settings/update profile. soft reset. (for this last part i cant find udate profile in settings, and thanks for the help on my last question but i missed it in the instructions you have to type picturemail into the box it will not just show up)

If you're running a custom ROM, this prob will not be in your settings. Look at the last link in the post. Says something about a PRL cab. Download it, install it, soft-reset and update profile will be in your settings.

I did exactly what is posted and and works,im on sprint stock rom ,the only problem is i cant recive but i can send which is ok

That's strange. One should go with the other cause the information basically goes through the same picmail account. When I was on stock, I actually had no problems with picmail for some reason. Anyway, I would recommend doing all of the steps again. I had to do it a couple of times before I got it working, so I must of messed up somewhere in there. Anyway, I wold try just gong through the steps again because it should all work.

Hmm Strange when i go to run .net 2.0i get a message on my phone that says it was unable to install. i am running Might Rom 4.14 now..this worked on 4.13 maybe it has something to do with 4.14. If anyone knows of anything holler at me. Thanks in advance!

Sweet - Thanks for the heads up and fix for this. I have been soooooo frustrated with Sprint and their lack of knowledge and support for this issue since I made the switch to Sprint from Verizon. I NEVER had any issues with picture mail with Verizon. So far this seems to have done the trick. Thank You , Thank You, Thank You!

When I go into there it says I need an unlock code, where do i get that from, is it through sprint. Can i just call them and ask for it. I'm using a htc touch from sprint.

use the mrl grabber.... thats the code you need.

If i don't have a unlimited power vision plan and have the the everything messaging plan (suppose to have free pic mail) will i get feed to death if i use it? Also i Keep getting the g66 error should i use EVDO cause right now im usin wifi? And will i get extra charges if i use EVDO for the config?

Yea bro u have to have data to recive pics otherwise ur getting charged

yuppers isnce you are still going through the phone on it they can charge you for the amount of kb usage that you used while on wifi

no pic mail costs extra if you dont have a pic mail unlimited added to your plan.... you still have to use data to get em though.

not really since all the pics being sent have to be hosted on a server which is what you are paying for with the unlimited sms plan....... the data is to retrieve the pics off of the server..... without data there wouldnt be a picture mail service ever created.

Has anyone got this working on the sprint touch 6900. I followed the instruction, but when I go to send picture mail, it say not support on this platform. Should do a hard reset and redo, or would a soft reset and redo all the instruction again until i get it to work do the trick.

you did something wrong than cause it will work on the touch....... you can also go after the updated sprint arcsoft cab file and install that... works great for me and dont have to go through any of this...

The arcsoft cab lets me send pictures out, but I can't receive any. It keeps giving me the website to go too.

I just been testing it by sending pic messages to myself, and it keeps giving me the link. I guess I can call my dad and have him send me some pics, but most of his have audio attached too it too. Should it come through as a pic with audio?

anyone having intigration issues with arcsoft?

I'm running Mighty Rom 5 and arcsoft. when I get a new text, the default windows notification pops up on the bottom of the screen. I'm reading to uninstall the da*# thing unless there is a way to turn the default notification off. It WAS working fine eariler today.

Or try this bro If you have a registry editor go to the following and change SMSNoSentMsg to 1.

so this will work the same as disableing the sent notification for a text message? I guess I could have rememberd that, but I've had a long week and three hard resets today.

I read till page six so i hope I didn't miss the solution to my problem in 4 pages. . . anyways. I have .net2.0 and 3.5 on my computer and all the jazz from the download in the first post into my phone except for the mrl grabber because rapidshare is tired of me abusing it today. Anyways when i try to install .net2.0 it starts installing in my laptop and I feel that this is wrong - Is it? and when i transfer it into my phone and try to install it that way it says there is no application associated with netcf2setupv2, run the application first, then open this file from within that application. Also when I run the .net configuration on the first screen (About) There is only one version installed (3.5) and the the application policy tab I can't select anything in the second field even after manually inserting the windows\picturemail.exe path. So what do I do now?

it will get you your msl and if you need to fix your mms yes you will need it.... this allows you to edit stuff under the ## numbers that are used for like slot cycle index, changing secret words, changing active profiles, etc.

I think I am just experiencing technical difficulties with my touch pro when it comes to picture mail. I am sending pic mail and the person doesnt receive them until days later. I have updated my phone with their updates!!!

sounds like something in your area... try calling your provider and asking if they are having troubles in your area.
