First things first.

This ROM is for the most advanced user, to the everyday beginner. This is one of the FASTEST and most STABLE ROMs to date running the 21864 build with the Manila 2.1. If you have any doubts, the ROM will speak for itself.

Notes: The base ROM has been stripped down to the bare minimum. Therefore there is no added bs, only what is needed to operate and function correctly. This ROM was built for speed, and to be the most stable ROM with the best support out there. All added programs and software are the latest, up-to-date versions to date. For a complete list of what is included, please scroll down. Screenshots can be found in the 3rd post.

Extra Info:A little about me. I have been cooking personal ROMs for a few friends and myself since the apache 6700. I have always considered myself a perfectionist, so users ROMs never met my standards or suited my needs. No disrespect to any cooks out there, if it weren't for you all (you know who I am talking about), I wouldnt be where I am today in the phone community. I always wanted the latest OS available, with the latest drivers along with the latest versions of the programs installed. Thats when I started building my own ROMs. From there I always spent my time tweaking the ROM to perfection for the best speed and stability I could get out of the device. I have built personal ROMs for the Apache, Mogul, Touch, and now the Touch Pro. Honestly when I received the Touch Pro I was pretty unhappy with the overall speed and stability of the stock ROM. Then I ventured out to a few users custom ROMs. I was still unhappy. I never intended to go public with any of my ROMs, they were only for personal use and a couple close friends. Since the feedback I had was so positive from a few, I decided to go public. Now here we are with the first public release of SsS-ROM after weeks of closed testing. For anything else, I will let the ROM do the talking. ;)

PagePool is now set to 32.

Verizon Users may want to set the PagePool to 16.

There are now 4 versions of the ROM, v0402, which is the standard version, v0402-S, which is a "Stuffed" ROM, loaded with goodies, v0402-NS, which is the "Stuffed" ROM without the sprint applications, and v0402-L, which is a 'Lite' version of the rom.

I love this rom but I cant do a hard reset :( why? and I can't do the #data or anything.. why?

hard resets can be done on this rom and on the other cant tell you since im not on the rom.

i've some problems on hard resetting my fone too... but i don think its just on this rom.... i have done it a few times..... as said above try when ur fone is off tho.... once u put the battery back on if u press the power key first then it wont do it.... i how i always do it, is when ur fone is off press and hold vol. down and the center key, then press the power and the reset key using ur stylus, then release the reset ket while still holding those other 3 keys... it will take u to the hard reset mode.... follow the instructions then.....

use the tip of your finger to press the middle circcle button too since if any part is reading that your pressing on the dpad it wont work either since you hare adding a d-pad directional to the list also than.

hey guys i know this rom has microsoft voice command on it... but i could never figure out how to use it... i mean normally there is a key that u press or press n hold.... how do u use it on this rom on the touch pro (sprint ofcourse)... can anybody help me on that or guide me to a link, i tried searching but only found links to download the program.... thanks

Hey everybody. I just flashed to the Titanium version and have loved it since my last update aside from a couple issues. A few links don't work for me like my calculator and my facebook application. other than that, I've been very pleased with the lack of freezes and such. i still get a problem backing out of a text message to all messages. It tends to freeze there for about 30 seconds, but sms chat gets rid of that problem. any help to get those couple links working?

you need to press and hold the talk button to initiate voice command. Also, make sure you have voice command set for the talk button. you can check that by going to start, settings, buttons, then change it there if needed.

did u do a hard reset after flashing ?? coz that happened to me when i flashed the first time... forgot about hard reset..... but then i re-flashed it, took the battery out, did a hard reset and now its super good man... try re-flashing... that should help....

nope, i didn't forget. I did uncheck that box under connections settings and it was giving me a connection error, so i checked it back and my pc detected it, right now im flashing to a stock rom to give it another shot :)

well.... there r a few bugs on it man.... i read those reviews on ppcgeeks and i am having same issues with mine too.... onscreen keyboard and hardware keyboard fights while on internet explorer..... clock on the taskbar can not be removed.....and yes sync problem, n yes i did take battery out and did a hard reset....... as for speed and performance, i don know i don see any difference... i still have v0203, im flashing back to it until they come out with fixes......

Which version of v0204 are you running?, i know for a fact Deck makes the stuffed version specially for him, so it may be less buggy than the other ones, so if you flahed to something else I would try the stuffed version, I always run standard though.

the stuffed with sprints stuffs...... i flashed back to v0203... so far i like the v0203... but i know they will fix all those bugs for sure then i will flash it to v0204...
and guys i am getting very slow internet speed... i remember we have some registry setting for the mogul to boost up its speed.... is there anything like that for touch pro ??? i searched did not find anything.... can anyone tell me what should i search for ???

So I flashed back to a stock rom and then again to the new SsS and it still gave me a connection error. With previous versions it would not sync if the box "Enable faster data syncronization" under connection settings was checked, well this is not the case with this version, it'll sync with no problems unless you uncheck it, then i'll give you the connection error, so leave it checked!!

I just flashed to v204. I'm out of state and traveling back home today. So far I have not had a chance to play around with this version. The clock in the task bar was what M$ decided to put in WM6.5. By removing it, the OS messes up and has errors. deck had to put the clock back in to stablize the OS.

I have no idea why M$ wanted to keep the clock in the task bar since the battery meter was a better choice. Hopefully, with the official release there will be an option to show the clock or battery. I hate being "stuck" with what "they" think I should have.

As annonying as that damn clock is, there is hope. when the battery drops below 50%, a battery meter will popup to the left of the EVDO icon, and display the battery level.

hey guys... i still have the v0203 n i luv it... but i just found out couple of problems on my fone... it doesnot ring !!!!! i mean it rings sometimes n then it does not ring again... my volume is on max n i have checked eveything on the settings....n whenever i get a call from anybody who is already on my contact list, it does not display the name but says unknown caller... even when i dial someone from contact list, on the dialer it says unknown.... i don know why its doing that... anybody having similar problem ?? any fix ????

do you have nay other afternmarket contact managers, dialers, or anything like that?

well overall I was loving the ROM after flashing it last night with Swcked Mobile Shell as well. This morning I'm having a whole host of problems. the Facebook shortcut from the start menu kept giving me an error message before it decided to work, Swcked MS doesnt load n e more, clicking on a text message from the TF3D restarts TF3D completely. In the taskbar, it says i have no signal yet im still sending text and receiving. I'm missing buttons like in contacts where u hit "done" (im guessing) as well as other screens. Is there a way to run both TF3D2 and Swcked MS and just switch between the two? It was working at first and i ran my phone all night, now MS doesnt start and TF3D keeps disabling itself. Thnx for any help, overall love the ROM jus havin minor problems

you might what to flash back to stock then reflash. I have not had any problems with v204. honestly i've not flashed to stock in a while, but i've only been running earilier versions of this rom. since you are having so many issues flashing back to stock might be the way to go.

not yet. it might clear out once you get done reflashing. MS3 is, in essence, a UI and doesn't have any real impact on your programs. meaning if your OS is bad the MS3 would not work properly.

have you flashed back to stock yet? and than flash back to the custom rom if you still want custom and go for it and see what it does.

What phone do you have/ carrier/ original OS. there is a MAJOR difference between GSM and CDMA. i see your profile shows TP but WM5...???? I'm confused..........

what did you flash too, i assmue this rom.

you might want to post your questions about your issues in the Q & A forums, since this section is for issues with this ROM. If you have an install glitch uninstall the program all together and remove the settings in the registry, in case something is hung.

lastly you shouldn't need to put a shortcut anywhere, Swcked does that for you.

Sprint, Touch Pro, Original Rom was Stock with WM 6.1, i flashed to this ROM and the reason i placed a Short cut was so i could go back to the Shell straight from the program launcher in TF3D2

did you flash a rom and than run a full restore from a past rom? if so you arent really flashing the rom ince the registry will be reconverted back to the old.

I have that problem but doesn't bother me at all since it only happens when i hang up, it says Unknown, save new contact?, I just press the End button and problem solved lol.

so i should just try to run the contact backup only after a hard reset... is that what u'd suggest... not to do the full backup.....

are you using s2u2 by any chance? it did that with me too if i had the caller id turned on it s2u2 settings.

mmmm no clue i would try a reflash to see if that fixes your error... if not i would go with a different rom since something isnt acting right for you

spiratic battery life from day to day and no single day was really good even, random freezups, lagginess randomly also, others were having same troubles with build and jsut not gonna go back to it.... dont use messenge (aim) sothat turns me off to.
