Welcome to my kitchen!

Here's what's on the menu today...

This is an HTC Herman CDMA ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of this thread.

I always build my ROMs with three main goals.

• Eye candy.
• Speed!!
• Smoothness, consistency and good esthetics.

I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set.

You will find a new ROM posted here every few days, as I always update them with the latest "ingredients" that come down the pipe, from either Microsoft or HTC. Because of that, I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization).


I usually make 3 versions of this ROM. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet.

Here are the different versions and what they mean.

• "Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin (Titanium*) and the Tachi dialer

• "Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version. This also includes the regular HTC dialer

You will find TWO core versions of each of the above versions.

One based on an the latest official windows build (currently 21864) and the other, built on the latest beta.

Currently the fast, stable, most bug free "official build" is 21864. I recommend you start with that first! :)

This ROM is a generic CDMA build and "data" is already preconfigured. It has been reported to work fine on Sprint, VZW, Altel and I believe even Cricket devices.

he took it down cuz he uploaded a new version of the build he called it the afternoon build, but no this isnt buggy its running smooth for me even fell like i get better battery life, then the past builds.

thanks for the feedback... any thoughts on the battery life on this as compared to the august 6th version... is it a major leap, cuz i just flashed august 6th build the other day, finally got her fully tweaked etc, so if this build isnt a major improvemnt id rather wait to flash... unless battery is much better...

ya i fell there is a differince, i had to to some hsrd resets and a couple of reflashes to get rid of some of the bad stuff from the builds but i useed it at work last night and the place i work i like being in a csve, when i was stock i would have to put my tp on the chsrger at lunch just to last till i got off, even with the past builds of this rom, snd by the end of the 8hr night it was at 70% witch made me very happy.

battery life really is quite a bit better, i usually have to do battery tweaks to get it lasting the whole day, but yesterday i made it through the day and still had 22% left! + there are some minor bug improvements and stuff so i would recommend flashing it.

word; on NRGz rom i used the pollinterval set to 20000 instead of 5000 and that improved battery life a little for me too... but really this new version is probably 20% improved for batt life.

I dont use the sprint provisioning; however I have needed it in the past. Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't. Don't really know why causes it. If your internet works when you flash then you dont really have a use for it.

well yes, in fact, it ONLY works for the CDMA Touch Pro! You're in luck. If you ever see HERM in the title of a rom post, that means its for Touch Pro :)

ok I got one. The rom works fine for me w/o the carrier cab, except for picture mail. I installed the carrier cab and still nothing. So like a big kid, i read the opening post. i installed the spirnt arcsoft cab. i can send pics and the phone uses arcsoft. when i get a picture from someone else, i get it thru the default picturemail, which has only the persons phone number not thier name in the received from. I'm debateing on un-installing the sprint arcsoft and installing the newest version of arcsoft from here. I know this is purely aesthetics for me, cause it's working right?


other than that i have no gripes or complaints about the latest rom. after running it for a couple of days, i'm really really impressed. For me, so far, it's the best rom i've ran. it's going to be really and I mean REALLY hard for me to run another rom anytime soon.

After messing with my setting and programs i got it to work. the 16GB SDSHC micro comes in handy for saving old files. anyway, crazytalent has answered/helped another member and its easier to go here to find the fix:

Stop already my TP cant take anymore flashing HAHA

i took it to the store because the refurb they sent me is jacked up... the screen isnt all the way in, you can slide your finger a cross the edge and you can feel the screen.... if you push down on the screen, you cant feel it anymore for like 10 sec.. then its back lol.... a part of the screens edge is messed up and they told me has long as the screen works they cant swap it for another phone haha.... they cool ill just flash the piss out of it and maybe the keyboard will stop working again.

Ok I made a real noob mistake and sprint CC sucks. i flashed to the energy rom just to see if it was better then what i was using. i wanted to update PRL, and accidently pressed update PRI (big big mistake)which was cooked into this rom, now it gives a different username, and can't log into web, can't update profile, when i go into the ##3282# the code i always used no longer works, when i go into ##78(something)# the code doesnt work. anyone know how i can fix?

Ok i have fixed this crazy issue, evidently updating the pri updates your pri to the info of whoever made the rom, changes the meid number, username and everything. so i flashed to stock, didn't work, kept getting the other person's crap, called sprint, their no help, my msl code wouldn't work nothing, because this update changes that too, how lovely, so i got the new code with the msl grabber then ##786# and put the new code in, tho had to do this alot cause if you don't put the new code in fast enough it won't let you period, because once its on for a while, the MEID number literally dissapears and you can't get in, (and the msl grabber says, sorry can't help you) untill you hard reset. after about 5 attempts of hard resetting, not soft resetting, HARD resetting, i managed to get into the ##786# and reset the damn thing. YEAH that worked thank god, and was able to get my settings back.

can you say panic frustration, whatever you do, stay away from update pri.

i am going to attempt to load this rom one more time, and see if i like it, hopefully i don't make this or any other stupid mistake again, tho i don't think it was a good idea to cook that into the rom. not everyone is as seasoned as our big wigs here heheheheh

PS. i managed to fix this in the sprint parking lot, i actually locked the phone back up in hopes they would help. screw Sprint CS

I have heard about Goku gss for a min, but it is all titanium right? I am still feeling the tf3d2. I am sure people are rocking the titanium but I seem to not wanna drop the tf as of yet. I may have to try it out just cuz. My eyes are burning from all the flashing....damn!

Well just flashed to this bout 2 days ago and i gotta say i am very impressed with this rom this has to be the best rom out there battery life is great with tweaks and txt messages has no lag what so ever all i can say is wow gonna flash to telus radio right now to see if i can get a lil more battery life .Was running nfsfans but the txt messaging lag was just to much for me and had to change .

ok this might be a silly question but i can't seem to find it on this rom. does this rom have voice command? if so where is it, cause i can't find it and i rather like that feature.

well that is what i was thinking too, but i just wanted to double check cause i wouldn't figure that VC would be left out of a rom.

yea me either, i read on the ppcgeeks thread for this rom that he is working on an updated version but there is no eta for release.....

yeah, im not sure im sticking with this one, im not a big fan. its good and all but there are a few things that i don't care for.

i can't tell you the last time i used VC......my iPaq kept running it everytime i looked at the comm manager buttom. finally disabled it for good.
