lol I made a mistake, that wasn't the title i was refering to lol, i meant "Stock ROM links for CDMA Touch PRO (all CARRIERS)", which is the other threat, but I just tried updating the radio and it didn't work, just to make sure im working with the right radio, this is the name "Sprint Radio V1.11.00F R", is that the right one for the Pro??

once you unlock it it will stay unlocked unless you manually relock the phone yourself.... flashing to a stock rom will not revery you to having the bootloader locked down again.

I tried, it didn't, im reading info on ppcgeeks and someone wrote that using the wrong Unlocker causes the Invalid ID error, which is what i get........ima keep reading :)
--------- New Post Merged on 22/5/2009 at 08:25:44 -------- I can swear i read somewhere that i needed "Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_025_MFG.zip " as unlocker, now reading at ppcgeeks turns out that's the wrong one, im supposed to be using .037 instead, how was I able to flash to a custom room with .025?.....it's not important anymore, but anybody wanna take a guess? --------- New Post Merged on 22/5/2009 at 08:38:18 -------- IM FEELING AWESOME!!!........that solved the problem, now I have to flash this phone back to the custom it had before, which should be easy. Thanks Dashs for your help, uhmm i can remember Superman as well, I can't remember the other guys that helped me throughout the day, thank you all!!! Last edited by fanaticny; 05-22-2009 at 08:38 PM. What do these radio packages actually do? What is the point of using them? Are they updates to the radio that is shipped with the device? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, what are these actually used for; what would one hope to achieve by using one of these radios instead of what's already on your device?

Allright, I haven't run this radio through its full course or anything yet, but I gott say. After 2 days of testing this bad boy with heavy-moderate everyday useage, I am extremely suprised and impressed. I have had full signal at almost all times and locations(In/outside buildings, even underground!) and my battery seems to have imporved slightly. I mean, Im on SSS ROM 119, and I added my 250 battery tweak and that combined with this radio gave me 24 hours of battery power. I took it off charger yesterday around noon.....went on the boardwalk all day, made calls, did text/MMSing, went on pal a little, checked Wckediden a couple times, then came home and fell asleep with the phone off the charger. Just checked the phone about 20 minutes ago. Now it didnt have alot of power left (only 10%) but it still did have a acharge. Thats phenominal battery performance. I have also yet to drop a call. So all in all, pretty satisfied with this VZW radio. I;m gonna REALLY work this bad boy for the next couple days to see how it stands up. I'll keep you guys posted.

Just a little info for anyone looking at using one of these radios in the Tri-State area of California/Arizona/Nevada. I'm actually 90 miles south of Las Vegas. I've been doing a few tests over the last couple days, driving to different parts of town and such. So far all the Sprint radios seem to work about the same, no noticeable difference between them. They all managed to stay within the one to full bar range, never dropping out of EVDO signal. I've used both the Telus and the Alltel radio and both performed pretty much the same, most of the time staying at the 0-2 bar range. I never did see them drop to 1x though, only when a call was being made, that actually goes for the Sprint Radios as well (not sure if that's normal or not). The last radio that I used and am currently using is, the VZW Raphael v1.03.03v R, and I gotta say I'm loving it. It almost always manages to stay at the full bar range, i have yet to have a dropped call. Those are my 2 cents, hope that helps someone.
Oh, one question, I've read through most of this thread and didn't see anyone ask so I guess I will (sorry if someone did and I missed it). Anyway, does anyone know if this is something that can be charged to your bill? Since techniqually I am using another providers service. |

i have a huge issue with the battery on this phone/smartphones in general, and i hope this is just what the doctor ordered! and another thing, a suggestion. in the noob area there should be in bold print -pick a rom, find the best radio for your area, start reading!- that's what every noob wants to know. because after that it's like whoever puts in the most work has the sickest phone with the most goodies. i love ya Wckediden!

you know i know, you responded to my post in that thread. i was searching for info on radios and came across this one and that one and some more. they're out there for sure. i'm just saying that i'm soooo excited to find out what a difference maker the radio is, it should be highly prioritized in the noob section. just a suggestion. not saying stuffs not out there. being a noob, i know what the dumb people want, what they need. :dnfnoob2zp: i'm wearing the sign...but i'm tryin to shake it.

i think the flashing guide would be perfect. just so a noob could go "radio, i'll have to look into that." like i said the site is fab and everything is out there for sure. and let new people read and search and read. but a simple direction arrow would've been great for me.....that's all i'm sayin' now go test that verizon radio and give us your michigan feed back. we want your opinion cause you're the master!

i've been on the new verizon radio for just a day and i haven't been able to check battery life, though it's no worse than the telus. however, i did notice reception difference. i work in a freezer at a warehouse in wixom, mi. not much gets good service there, but it's known that verizon does hold the best signal. so i decided to flash the new v radio and it has been a great decision! more bars....anywhere. i believe the battery life is better too but i'll have to monitor over a longer period. so if anyone is using that great telus radio here on the eastside of MI i would suggest giving the new v radio a spin. and that's what i think
