(SPRINT) HTC Touch Pro Speaker Quality

Hey guys i just got my touch pro saturday from bestbuy but i noticed that when i make calls the speaker is terrible i can barely hear the person on the other side of the phone. is there anyone else experiencing this problem? im exchanging it when i get off work today.

yes same with me...and when i use a headset i can barley hear also...i think u mite have to edit something in the registry, im not sure tho..search make sound louder theres a thread on this but in not sure if it works n the pro but u can ask there

Found this over on ppcgeeks and used this for mine and it helped with the speaker quality(atleast it seemed to make a difference to me haha). Give it a shot. Install it on the device and then just soft reset.

i took this cab file apart and its the same registry tweak i have been using for over a month now..... does make a huge difference and thanks for the cab file :>

O my gosh thanks for the cab file. The sound out of the ear piece was by far, and really the only real problem I found with the phone. See I work at a verizon store and I had to bring mine out to shut down the Blk Berry STORRRMMMMM!!! Which is boo, big time. So everyone at work now wants a TP hahah! (Just had to convince them that the sound would be, and can be fixed.)

I am pretty sure they already know, I am on here all the time, I think, seriously, I turn of my my computer once during the day, which is for lunch or class. Which means I am on Wckediden all the time and they are all asking what I am doing, and then they think it is dumb until I show them my KICK ASS PHONE!
O and that sound cab worked wonders....pretty sure the TP is the coolest ever......yep

I had that same problem too and all I did was take that plastic that was on the phone off and put on the one that came with the phone and that ended my problem.. and i think it was cause by static electricity.. and my phone is super loud anyway.. but i might try the cab too tho.. whatever works for ya homies.. :spyda:

hey guys im just a noob here but i really want to learn so please bare with me. any who i trying installing this cab the way it was explained in the noob sticky. but its doesnt seem to be working for me. I down loaded the file then opened it using winra saved it and when i looked it up it was 3 different files. i saved all 3 into my card by copying and pasting the files onto my mem card. then tried to open them in my phone and i couldn't. am i not doing this correctly? if so then please help. i just look forward to being as good and knowledgeable as you guys on here. thanks

This will not work for you because according to your account you have the treo 755 and this for the touch pro whick is a ppc so thats your problem

and why didnt you ask in the noob guide but here? you would get more support if you asked there for the mere fact that people could easily look at the cab file that you are talking about.... i know the reason im not knowing what cab he is talking about is because im too lazy to go searching to go see what he is talking about since not enough info was given.... just keep in mod for the future :>

ok i posted it here because the cab i tried to add was the one posted n this in particular post. well Im assuming that this cab is good so it has to be my phone. any who ill try asking in the noob section.
oh and as for the smart guy who looked at what phone i have. it was my old phone and i signed up on here before i got my touch pro just to read about it and learn before i started messing with it. but ill definitely change that for you.

Well that "smart guy" was trying to help you. And he is a member of the staff. Its not his fault that you didnt change your profile. Don't come on here asking for help, then give staff attitude because you didnt change your profile when you should have. Thats what its there for.
