This is for a Touch Pro, it should work with other carriers, but it is designed for Alltel. This is for the most part a Stock ROM, leaving all the customization to you. I have tested this and it seems to be very fast for me.

It is always a good idea to hard reset after you flash to a new build it helps everything run smoother.

This is based off the HTC MAX system. 20759. I have found this to be the most stable and fastest system out there for me.

This is a full kernal xip port, xip is also fully customized to help give you the maximum amount of free space. with ULDR removed. nk.exe moved to a higher address to help speed up the boot time. I have converted most of the programs to modules to help with memory, speed and paging speeds. So everything should be very fast here.

Pagepool changer works on all of these roms. So if you would like to use that, then open the download file with winrar and extract the RUU_Signed.nbh and the Pagepool changer inside the downloaded file. and use it from there.

Directions

1. Unlock your phone Using directions posted at this site.

2. Download and Flash this ROM file

3. After your phone has started up, it is recommended to do a hard reset, it helps everything run better, but if you dont want to, it is not required.

4. Let the customizer run, and Enjoy your new ROM.

haha alltel is not bad. lot better then verizon, and sprint has bad coverage in my area, so not many options here.

I have been trying most of the weekend to flash my Alltel Touch Pro with this ROM but can't get it to go. Here is what happens most times:

1. Connect phone to PC using USB cable
2. Create an ActiveSync connection
3. Run Conflippers_Touch_Pro-12-23-08.exe
4. Phone briefly shows colored bars
5. Phone to a screen that shows the word "Loading..."
6. Display on PC shows 0% then eventually gives error code 260
7. I have to soft reset to get phone go get out of the "Loading...." mode

This happens every time.

When trying to flash the ROM from the SD card the phone goes the the "Loading..." screen and nothing happens after that.

Are you unlocked? If so, then next time that happens, leave the phone in tricolor mode and then restart the ROM update utility from your comp. As long as the tricolor has the word USB and not SERIAL on the bottom, it will work.

The phone says that it is unlocked.

How do I get it to stay in the tricolor mode? It automatically switches to the loading screen.

Yes. I connect the phone to the PC and ActiveSync. I run Conflipper's exe. The PC takes me thought the regular instructions/warnings then goes to 0%. The phone flashes the bootloader screen for a few seconds thens goes to a "loading..." screen. After several seconds the PC goes to an error 260 (connection) message. This happenes every time. I soft reset the phone to bring it back to normal operations.

did you check to make sure that you have the connection setting through activesync or mobile device center checked to allowing usb? have you tried to flash via an extra sd card and see what that does for you?

Yes usb is checked on activesync. I tried to flash via sd card and the bootloader screen flashes for just a second then it goest to the "loading..." screen and just sits there until I do a soft reset.

huh very weird....have you jsut tried a simple relock and unlock?

Followed the steps. I called HTC today and we got it to now to boot into the bootloader screen (and stay there). But now I get a 260 error code and that is far as I can get.

i dont know what you could have done to it that would be causing the errors.... have you tried using a different machine? and what os are you running on your current machine?

Tried different machines (all running XP). Tried different USB ports. Tried rebooting machines and hard resetting phone -- all with no luck. I guess I will have to stick with the stock ROM from Alltel :(

did you ever find a solution to your problem? I got the exact same thing going with my touch pro. Only diffs are I got a Sprint phone (yes, i'm using 0.37) n I'm using a Vista machine. Just like you, I feel like I've tried every solution I could find but none works. I hope someone smarter than me figures this out...I hope I hope I hope
