GIF Boot screen image
Hey I was wondering if a .GIF image could be used for the bootscreens on the touch pro? Thanks in advance.

Re: GIF Boot screen image
You can use a custom start gif, but not as the splash. Use advanced config and you can set any gif yoiu want as the startup gif. Just dont use one too long.

Re: GIF Boot screen image
Hi Wckediden users,
Sorry to reopen an old thread but I was after some clarification with the startup gif option. First of all where in Advanced Config can I find thi option. I can find MS splasch scree and Carrier splash screen but I read something in this thread about not neing able to do the splash screen. So where in advanced config is the option? Second of all, does the picture file have to be a .gif file? Thanks for your time, Shaunym |

Re: GIF Boot screen image
Just create a picture that is 480x640 (if you have a touch pro) name that pic welcomehead.192> save it as a PNG file and thats it. Just use TC to move that file into your windows file. Here is what mine looks like.

Re: GIF Boot screen image
thanks for the share but just some constructive criticism if using photoshop for that bootscreen.... on the logo looks a little rough, i would add a feather of just a coupel pixels to the edges so they dont look as pieced together. on top of that i would use the magnetic lasso tool and make the htc logo 3 pieces that you cut and drag over........ will make it a lot better looking since you wont have all the white border and stock background all in your pic also....

Thanks for the advice Dash. I do use photoshop cs4. I have only been using photoshop for about two months now, so I am still little rusty and not that great with it, but thanks for the advice. |

Re: GIF Boot screen image
it cant be used as a boot screen but the image before the splash screen could be a .gif file. Just need to rename it to the same file it is in the windows folder then overwrite it and softreset.
