How do i Put a ringtone for my text messages

go to settings, personal, sound and notifications, go under the notification tab, then select the event and ring tone hope it works for ya

the ringtone also has to be dropped into the windows folder of the main memory for it to read it than follow the steps above by tigerz

So does all your music files that you're going to use as a ringtone need to be in the "WINDOWS" folder? Or is it different for regular ringtones for phone calls? I'm getting hella confused w/all my music files because I'm having TWO of the same track in my HTC Audio Manager. Hella thanks in advance!

no not right tigerz lol. the only files for text message and emails have to be in the windows folder to show up. the ringtones go in the sounds folder.
