Hard Reset!!!!

Whats up my people quick question anopther silly one if i do a hard reset on my phone will i lose all of my contacts/phone numbers?? If i do how do i save all of my contacts so i do not lose them thanks.

yes if you do a hard reset you will lose all contact and phone numbers. there are a few ways to save them: as follows:
use a program like sprite backup or swcked backup (they can be found on the site)
or
when you can link up outlook
or
you can use the mail2web.com exghange server (this is what i use, dash made a tutorial on the site for this -- local search "mail2web")

hey whats up dude i signe up for the mail2web so now how do i store my contacts on the mail2web. I have anopther one for you too. Hope you can help me with this. For some reason i feel my touch has been acting a little weird because certain times when ever i tap on certain things it doesnt open up. Like when i try to hit contacts to make a call it doesnt open up the contact it just freezes. I then do a soft reset and it works for a little bit and it happens again. Not only with the contacts but with other programs as well. Just was wondering if you think i should do a hard reset. I just dont want to lose my contacts. SO that is why i wanted to know if you can show me how to use this mail2web. I know this is a long post but forgive me i just love my touch and i just want it to run smoothly thanks hope you can help.

np bro i will be glad to help and you wanted to know how to setup mail2web well if u local search the site dash created a tutorial a while back on how to set it up so im not going to go into that because it has been already posted... and about the programs not opening and phone freezing this might be a windows mobile 6 error or you might have some conflicting programs that dont work well with others... i would recomend a hard reset if you dont mind reinstalling all your apps (or use sprit backup and that will backup your installled programs and contacts).... like windows xp and vista for windows mobile the have a windows update tool on the phone try that out that might help

looks liek togerz answered all your questions but 1 of them. mail2web once you add it to your phone automatically backs them all up. and than after you set the email up after hard reset it will ask you what you want to sync. choose contacts and email and than you will have all of that restored with no sweat on your side. i have been doing this since o got my treo 700wx which was my first ppc. hope this helps and if you have additional questions feel free to ask.

Hey whats up me again lol. Just wanted to let you know that i did the mail2web sync on my phone just like you said. IT sync my contacts calendar e-mail all that stuff i followed just like you said. SO now what do i do, do i do the hard reset? After the hard reset what do i do so i can get my contacts back. Sync up again after the hard reset, just want to make sure i am following you right. Thanks guys

np glad yo gott it worked out now follow my directions carefully:::::::
make sure you have your contacts synced up with mail2web first
do hard reset
redo the mail2web setup
then it will sync the contact/emails/watever back to your phone

how do i check if i have my contacts synced up throug hthe computer or through the phone. If it is through the computer i already went online to mail2web.com and all of my contacts are there.

just want to let you guys now i did it and it worked i hard reseted my phone and i synced it with mail2web and all my contacts are there. Thanks alot, i was a little nervous but it worked perfectly thanks for your help you guys are great i am off to work talk to you guys later peace
