HTC Touch original software/Rom

I have no idea what I did, but I need to get back to the original software. I have tried a hard reset but it did nothing. I downloaded the custom rom with the slider and my phone keeps locking up, internet won't work etc. Can anyone tell me how to get back to the original so I can start over?

heres the link and im not sure what they hell you mean slider. i hope your not talking slider sounds since those clearly said for the mogul and not the vogue. and also not regular touch ones either you need vogue since the regular touch aka elf will be different and can cause the same problems. but heres the link that you were looking for bro. http://www.america.htc.com/support/m...downloads.html

Is this software for the Touch or the mogul? I went to the link and it shows mogul, don't want to screw up my phone more then I already have. I have the touch (sprint service) phone.

oh my bad wasnt thinking and all good catch and all ummmm not sure where you would find the original i would search google and see if you can find it hopefully someone has done a rom dump of the original or your screwed.

EDIT: on second though do a quick search for vogue we should ahve an unlocker that reflasheds your phone back to the old rom take a look at that.

Did you ever do a complete back up? If so, try and just back up your files as well. Not sure if this helps any, but thought I'd try to help out.

I have a similar problem. I own an original test version of the Touch from Orange. When the test ended, they let me keep the phone. Problem is it doesn't have the touchflo software on it. When it boots up I get:

HTC IU Build Test Only
IPL 1.03.0002
SPL 1.03.0000
GSM 02.88.90
OS 1.3.0.0

Have tried installing cube and touchflo software from a link that someone was kind enough to give me but it doesn't work on my phone. Think I need a ROM or BIOS upgrade before I'm going to get touchflo and cube installed and working. Of course Orange is of no help at all and HTC won't talk to me, say I have to go through Orange. Kind of a catch 22 don'tcha think?

Any ideas, I'm all ears? Thanks in advance.

look for the official updated rom on their webpage for orange and than flash your phoen over to that and you will be fine and have touchflo

No luck on Oranges website, searched high and low (and this wasn't the first time that I've been there). Did find a lot of useful info on xda-developers though. Haven't for sure found the latest ROM but I think it's there someplace. Also have no clue how to install it yet either, but I trust with enough looking I'll find that there as well. They do have a bunch of cooked ROMS. Looked like they might be just a bit complicated for installing but I'll continue to do more research. Once I figure it out I'll post it back here so you can download it was well.

there really not too bad to install trust me bro. try htc.com for the rom also,

Been on every HTC site around the world, and with the exception of one of them in Asia which I can't get access to with my exisiting registration, they don't have any ROMs on there at all for the Touch. Very frustrating. Good to know that the install will be easy once I find it. Have another question for you Bubba about an Orange spv 3100. Going to post it in the appropriate forum as soon as I find where it is in here. Thanks for your continued advice. Andy
