No2Chem nueROM 2.0 (WM6.1) Thread
This is the thread for nueROM 2.0, based on WM 6.1 release.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

(5059) Update to build 19202.
(5060) Update to build 19209.
(5060) add oemdrivershigh_xip package
(5060) add new remote desktop (w/remote storage mount support)
(5060) re-enable some options in phone settings (nam, mode of operation...)
(5060) add new bt stack (BTHCI: 3.14)
(5060) cleaned up xip ROM name (3.35-NO2)
(5060) cleaned up 3.35 nk
(5060) re-patch verifybinary
(5060) disable ie security warning

I updated to the latest official release of WM6.1 from the leaked Kaiser roms. XIP has been ported too, seems like it had some new memory management features too. Enjoy, and let me know if you encounter problems. As a quick test of speed, try going to file explorer and opening the windows directory.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

THE ONLY OFFICIALLY SUPPORTED KITCHEN IS THE PPCGEEKS KITCHEN. If you have an existing installation, you can update using provided basekits. Find the official kitchen at: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22132 to download the basekit, download here: http://nex.ppckitchen.org/ROM/no2_5059base_fix.rar

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

If you are new to flashing, please read this provided by quantumforce1. No, your phone is not a brick if its on the tricolor screen.

lol welcome to the club. ive been flashing all the custom roms since the way beginning just short months after the titan came out in july of 2007. my mogul has prolly been flashed to a new rom almost 200 times.

LOL, Ok I'll bite. 5059 is fast and so far just as stable as 5055 itself. Even with a WM6.1P update. I have pushed and pushed it trying to get it to crash, but no dice. This thing is sick!

I have now went from 5059 clean to a 5059 kitchen. The kitchen is nice just for the fact that I dont have to worry about reloading the mult .cab files each time or do my reg. edits after a HR when I can write them into the kitchen.

I have found one little nag that I seem to have resolved. When I first flashed the new 5059 kitchen build I had troubles with the dialer. Every time I went to edit my settings or systems files, when I saved them it would open up the dialer. Why? I dont know but I really didnt want to dig to the bottom of it so I did a softreset and installed the HTC Touch dialer w/smartdialing cab and the problem has seemed to resolve itself. I will watch this though. I am going to try to uninstall the dialer to see if the problems reappears. I am really liking the 5059 build and I am liking the fact that it seems really stable. Which is what we are all after. Have to give props to no2chem.

Ok I installed the ROM, and I must say im very impressed with it so far.... All I can say is very fast and yes it is stable I get 17.7 mb after startup runs smooth and calm lol....great work kaos.....

A few simple steps:
1. Hard reset phone
2. run the 2.40 olipro unlocker thats on this site, it will bring u to the multi colored page on your phone.
3. open the folder you downloaded
4. run the romupdateutility.exe
5. After it installs, shut phone off and take battery out for a minute then turn on
6. Then do hard reset and install all your apps

Swer I did - flashed before without problems. I actually got it the day it came out and have used it ever since . . . for the last 24 hours it has been crashing like crazy.

off prolly running conflicting apps or something you can try kaos **** sprint rom since i havent tried 5060 i have no clue as said above im still running 5059

So i flashed the rom and it's working pretty good. I'm having problems using the nueMMS program. It says message sent but the person says they never get it. Its there a guide page or something as to what some of the features of the rom do and how to use them properly?
